Are you sure ? How can u prevent things such as otto irresistable touch , meteor swarm and pw stun ? Don.t say mantle of worldshaper cuz is total useless in pvp. Find a good caster and u will be beaten

Harm will crush you...its just rarely used. It is not a "death effect". It technically can not kill you, but take you to 1. Then a searing light takes you out. A good caster can always "win". Melees are easily avoided with Leap of Faith...

Also I did not know that all that DR stacks...and what job/class are you?

ok yes i have mantle and im imune to pws due to my hp and as for ottos dance The spell resistance on my titanic docent clicki can usually block ottos dance and as for harm and clerics... my eardweller makes short work of them and im currentlly true reincarnated 17 wiz 2 rogue and here is the DR breakdown: Titanic docent clickie 30 DR + DoD proc 20 Dr + upgraded light and darkness 9 DR + blocking DR with light and darkness and divine power 18 DR all that together amounts to 77 and yes all of that stacks and in case you were wondering with eardweller my polar rays hit for 500+ without a crit and disintegrate hits for 800+ without a crit.

After first meteor swarm you will bè stunned even if u have 500 hp full. Good casters have + 31 spell penetration. Or more. There ' s no king in pvp . You always win ? Simply: you fight only vs noobs. A really good pvp player always find a strategy to win, also against spells or heavy dr

buffed and with my shroud item on i have much more then 500 so dont insult me >.> and full metor swarm does very little damage to me and most know what happens if they actually get a dance on me. i consider dance cheap and i dont use it... but if its used on me then you will dance til i think youve learnt your lesson and yes there is a king in pvp and its me on argo. (modesty) the only person that can occasionally beat me is culpeppa and as for 77 DR... can you think of a ranger that can break that? no? thought so... and melle lets face it im always in shield block ALWAYS...

they arnt 400 + when the 77 dr swipes off 77x crit mod damage from them :P

funny, because if you are always in shieldblock mode, then you arent doing a whole lot of damage, hence you arent exactly winning either, drop that shieldblock and let a cpl slay arrows hit ya and its over, 500 each minus the 77 dr each time and you wont have enough hp to live past that, and if said ranger has a light bow it may be over even faster......it always pleases me to see people in pvp just turtling up, the ones that I see doing that method may as well ball up in a corner in the fetal position and cry like a little GURL, all the ac and hps and what a +20 to hit.....oh how I wish you were on sarlona.....look me up should you ever stop in, ill show ya how we smash toasters on sarlona.

So the Epid DR stacks with blocking DR? Cool, I didn't know that as the DR5 it has doesn't stack.

Also, do you have a +50 str modifier for when you get tripped by a Barbarian?

DoD might not proc on the first hit either :)

There are two types of DR: Active (the DR granted by shield-blocking) and Passive (everything else).

Active DR is: Shield DR + 1/2 BAB + 2
In your case, that is 9 + 10 (assuming DP) + 2 = 21. I'm assuming you don't have the improved shield blocking feat.

Everything else falls under passive DR, and here's how that works: only the highest bonus applies. For example, if you have the 5 DR from the bloodrage symbiont and a stoneskin for 10 DR, your total DR is 10.

In your case, the Titanic Docent is the highest DR source you've got, so your total Passive DR is 30.

That means your total overall DR is 51 when shield blocking, or 30 without. Which is good, but certainly isn't 77. If you're seeing numbers that high, it's a bug, and should be reported. And, naturally, I'd be curious to see the screenshot. :)

In any case, have fun out there killing people in PvP.

shield block can stop w/p and 500 hit slayer arrows and monk 500 hits.

... so if you managed to get your ranger good enough to break my DR you would have to bring down my 578 hp (i got yugo pots a while back) rangers are pathetic against my caster... cant even do damage to me so there isnt any need to go out of shield block.
