Power Attack for my Wizard

My solo WF Wizard is now lvl 11 and I noticed I can't use melee as before, even with 18 Str. Mobs are really starting to get tough, and my low BAB does not help. Of course I have more than 800 sp to play with, but the greatsword/maul come in hand for trash mobs or for saving sp for the final bosses.

Question is: What you guys think about getting Power Attack now at lvl 12? Too early? In fact, can a Wizard really withstand the -5 penalty? I'm considering buying +5 weapons with the righteous enhancement, for additional +2 vs evil, if that would help. I also have an item 5 charges of Divine Power, but they do not last long, so that I can't trust them all the time.

If you are havign trouble hitting now, adding PA is just going to make it worse.

18 is a pretty low STR at l11 for anyone dedicated to melee. You should be pushing mid 20's easily at that level.

Get more Divine Power Clickies.

Destruction and Improved Destruction are far more helpful than Rightous. -4/-8 to AC is the same thing as increasing your TO Hit by that much.

Without knowing the b uild, its hard tooffer any advice beyond that.
