Can you not do the Resistence Alchemical Ritual on a cloak?

I bound and attuned my greensteel cloak. I then put it back in the stone of change with 4 LS Soarwoods and 22 Funery tokens. Hit combine and..fail.

Can cloaks not be used for this ritual?

No only Jewelry can the Resistance ritual be used on.

As raelg14 said, jewelry ONLY.

On each character there are SIX jewelry slots. Bracers, Goggles, Necklace, Ring, Ring, and trinket. The alchemical ritual DOES NOT STACK. You can wear multiple items with the alchemical ritual, but the saves do not stack.
