Hello everyone. I've recently been working on a fighter (who is currently level 6). Just to get a general grasp of how character customization works in the game, I have been following the Cannon Fodder tank build (which is somewhere on the forums...I don't have a link xD). The build requires me to obtain several tomes. I have been able to acquire +1 tomes through the auction house (a manageable price), however my problem arises in getting a +2 dexterity tome. They seem to be going in the AH for 200k pp +. Is there any feasible way for my warrior to gain this much money? Or should I focus on leveling up in order to unlock better farm areas? Thanks in advance for any input :)

Leveling up to get to the better farming areas is always a good idea. In your off time from your firghter though its a good idea to roll a human bard, get him to about lvl 4-5, max cha and haggle skill, take the human skills boost enchancement. With a haggle item, heroism spell and eagles splendor( both of which available spells to bard) you should be able to get your haggle above 25. That will help you with vendoring your items to get more cash. Also make sure you vendor anything you dont use or put on the ah to the brokers in the houses. They give you more for what you sell.

Unless you really need the tome right away I'd say you can live without it.

I'm thinking (seeing it's DEX) you may want it for your next tier of TWF feats which does make it more important. But still not necessary, you can just switch your feats around some until you can get a +2 DEX tome.

My best suggestion for making money is to only buy things on the AH as a last resort, no matter how pretty they look.

Also, if possible keep and use a Haggle item any time you're selling items.

So, in review, just keep leveling up and try not to spend more money than you have to.

Thanks for the quick responses! Yes you are correct in assuming that I want the next tiers of TWF feats :). I guess another question that I have after reading both of your responses is...

By how much does the Haggle skill increase the money you gain from selling? I guess I just always viewed it as almost a dump skill, but if perhaps someone showed me some numbers I would consider investing in it. Thanks again

Not really worth dumping into it as a fighter I believe. Better off just finding a + to haggle skill item and chugging an eagles splendor pot before selling or buying from vendors until you roll a haggle toon.

That being said on a pure haggle toon with max haggle and the right buffs/items at lvl 20 the difference in price is significant.

With a haggle character at level 10, the difference in price is significant.

Farming for sought after rare items is the #1 way to make big money.

Ice games was like plat from heaven, but they are gone.

If you are F2P you cant even carry 200k pp until lvl 9 anyway.

As for making money, you can either try to farm rare items that sell on the AH well or you can just do quests. Remember to break all breakables and use "q" to target loot and "e" to pick it up for fast looting, also get all the collectables(some are worth a lot on the AH).

Also, when you do AH searches, look and see what is selling for high prices. Sometimes you can vedor things that seem worthless but really sell for decent plat.

As a lowlevel fighter you are pretty much restricted to farming rare items.
Get a few more levels and you can farm for Docent of Defiance, Spectral Gloves, Bloodstone, etc.
