I have a lot of them and I thought I'd share one... the time he came and helped my off-toon get keyed for TOD in Amrath. He didn't have to be there but he pretty much cleared all the trash just so we could raid. It was a hurting invasion since that was at the point everyone had keyed but epic hadn't come out...

He was definitely a take one for the team kind of guy. Argo has lost one of its greats :( cya Brenna :(

No specific memory, just him saying "Roger, Roger" as confirmation of a given order.

The first time I ever ran Tempest Spine back when it was still new and shiney, Brenna was there. I was amazed at all the things his rogue/bard was doing...just about single handedly completing the quest...all the while gently shepherding folks who got lost, helping heal between fights, killing those nasty drow pally's few folks could hit, patiently explaining fire/ice....

Class act all the way around.

The many conversations in /tell that we had, talking game mechanics and build plans.

O noes he is leaving :(? Tie him up don't let him do it :(

Unfortunately, that's impossible. He gave away all his tradeables, and deleted his only character. :(

My best Brenna memory was a no "healer" SoS shortman with a couple sorc's and 2 rangers ( gungasmom) and this gimp rogue who kept stealing my kills... w t f why would a rogue even run that quest? its not like there are traps in it or anything.

Always respected Brenna for his teflon attitude towards drama thats the only thing I respect more than being badass at drama... being immune to it, and Brenna had improved evasion, oh yeah he was a decent player who had grasped the basics of character design;). I know how you feel Brenna, leveling up IRL is so much more fun

This. Being on a different server I never had the pleasure of grouping with him, but his Notes from a Dancing Rogue and other advice changed the game for me a tremendously positive way and helped me flesh out what is now my favorite character.

Although I ran with Brenna from time to time over the entirety of the last 4 years, it's primarily within the last 6 months that I ran with him regularly, in epic content. Brenna is the sole reason I was able to make my first (and most) worthy epic item, the spell storing ring. He pulled the seal and shard, and since he only played a rogue, put them up for roll. I was fortunate enough to win those rolls, and did my best to return the favor by helping him get his epic fighting leathers and spectral gloves.

As gimped as the devs decided to make rogues and rogue abilities in epic, Brenna was still always an enormous asset to any epic run. And that's really a reflection on the player, not the class. He was really one of a kind, and will be sorely missed by myself and many others. I hope the devs actually take heed of this, because the grind fest that they have made endgame into is only going to keep producing results like this. It's profitable in the short term, but ultimately diminishes what this game truly has the potential to be.

It was always a pleasure to have such a skilled, helpful, magnanimous, non-loot-wh*** in your group, and I would gladly delete my ring and all my other (mostly mediocre) epic gear and start over if it meant Brenna would return and actually enjoy the game once again. But sadly, that is out of my hands. Here's to you, Brenna.

So many memories. . . .

Playing healer w/ Brenna on our rogues through many a quest and occasional raid.

Coming back from a four month break and he and I stealthing the entire subterrane, alternating assassinations across the whole map.

Duo'ing the vale quests, refuge quests, amrath quests, IQ quests and beyond on our rogues, using tactics and stealth and skill that wont be seen in such a fasion amongst the newer players for quite some time.

His teflon personality both here and the game, I can honestly count on one hand the number of times I heard him genuinely p***ed off at another player/group. (And on Argo that in and of itself is worthy of sainthood :D ).

Bottom line, he is a top notch player and will be sorely missed by the group of people that ran w/ him day in and day out. Hell the fact that there are two threads aside from his own farewell ought to speak volumes about him.

I sincerely doubt many of us would warrant the same.

Trying to 3 man epic raiyum when it first came out. 2 rogues 1 caster. We gave it the hardest ****ing try ever, and i'll be damned if brenna never died, not even to Rayray himself. We didn't win, we were short dps, and after kiting for 10 minutes we caled it from debuffs; but it was a lot of fun pushing the limits, and Brenna as always lightened the mood. I particularily rememebr the conversation on the nature of friendship...heh.

There are so many more, Red skulling everything in the game starting at waterworks and watching the smoke clear to see, only brenna left raise scroll in hand laughing. As we d-door to repeat...

Conversations of cynicism, and "I blame the commies", and much much more.

Brenna?

We all know you scream his name while you sleep in bed.

My fondest Brenna memory... Hmm, Brenna showing me his monastary elite solo moves during The Great Respec Wars and my return favor dragging him into PUGs in the harbor for gold coins and 7 Min Irestone Runs.

Also, there was a time when I needed someone to sell things and I randomly walked right up to him and started loading a trade window while he was trying to run through House Deneith to meet up with one of you guys. So instead of ignoring me, he actually took the items to sell. Then he tried to give me the 20,000 plat and handed me well over 200,000 plat accidentally. Then I tried to hand it back and gave him something like 20,000 plat. Then we had to do public math to figure out what I still owed him.

At this point I believe I came out ahead because Brenna was like, "Oh F-it!" and took 100K from me whilst promptly bolting and apologetically stating, "Sorry, I'm late have to go!" *L* It was very Three Stooges (minus Larry).

Brenna is not only a good player but also a humble player. He is the first one on this server to complete TR2 L20. When i noticed that and said congratulations to him and asked if he knows he is the first TR2, he told me perhaps Gondore is the first one and after i've checked and told him Gondore is still L19, he just told me humbly that many people helped him in leveling and it was not just his own effort.

In the past few months I have the pleasure to run with him on epic quests. I ran OOB in different groups with different leadership and tactics, and I could say Brenna is the best OOB party leader I have ever ran with. He knows the quest very well and able to give clear instruction of when to stop and form a line and cast fw, and lead the party to complete the quest smoothly.

Some other posts mentioned he is the best rog on this server and I personally think he is just one of the best players on this server. He sometimes online in odd hours and we hooked up to run wiz-king and dq1. In wiz-king, I normally like to solo a tower because other player usually draw random aggro of mummies/skeletons from me that make my firewall less effective. But Brenna, a rog that is suppose to be not very useful in wiz-king, makes his move very smartly. When I jump to a safe spot to cook the mummies/skeletons, without asking, he'll move to the same spot or make sure the undeads are probably positioned in the fw like he is playing a caster. And he will jump down to melee when the undead are dying so he takes minimum/no damage and help to speed up killing.

I recalled an instance that he was killed in DQ1 and the clr say sorry to him and Brenna told the cleric something like it's not the cleric's fault and he is suppose to take care of his own HP. He won't blame the healer and he acts like any self-sufficient players.

btw, i found his bio at:
http://compendium.ddo.com/wiki/Category:Notes_from_a_Dancing_Rogue

My father was a surface elf,
My mother lived 'neath the wave.
My father 'twas a' sinking fast,
My mother, she did save.

The love that grew was more than self,
Though many a storm 'twould brave.
They lived and danced and then, at last,
Gave birth to a rhyming knave.

- Brenna Wavekin, the Dancing Rogue

I really hope the devs could contact him and help him to restore the character. :(

This is truly a great loss :(:(:(

Brenna has always been one of the most significant players on the server imo. Cant even remember how many great times and first runs were in the company of Brenna.

Short manning DQ years ago. Dragon runs. GH Tor scale runs back in the day. Refuge grinding. Titans and TODs!

Drunk happy chatty Brenna shroud runs :D

Always timely witty comments.

Saintly generous and kind to all players.

Looking forward and greatly hoping to see him back in time.

I like the time recently we made up the nickname Brennataur. We couldn't think of anything exceptionally clever so it went like this: brennataur! With the head of an A$$ and the A$$ of an...A$$...Brennataur!

Well, then there wAs the one time I did see brenna lose his composure. We were in an EWK with Bo and for some reason I'd decided to make fun of Alabama (and Bo) by quoting Forrest Gump. So there we were, no $h**, we'd just beaten Hammy the Jakal I think and were dropping down. I'd fallen a bit behind and couldn't use the rune to open the shrine door so I politely asked Brenna in my best gump voice "excuse mah, but the door says ahm nawwt a smaht man. Could you open it four mah? Stupid is as stupid does mr Brenna sah". I think Brenna might have choked on his coffee a little bit. Good times :(

I think it was madstone. Brenna first showed me what a well-played rogue (even a mutant with 1 bard lvl) could do. Brenna is a wise mother****er and easy company and will be greatly missed.

it was an elite dq, a couple of mods before f2p went live.

The party had pretty much wiped, I released only to hear Brenna say Why did you release ? I am still here. He then went on to single handedly saving the adventure, one raise at a time.

Good stuff.

I rolled up a pure rogue a few days later.

I remember the first time i actually noticed how good he was.

It was on a Prey run and I like to see peoples builds and bio and I noticed his 1 bard level I thought that is a dum thing to do. He then runned us threw the quest single handedly and explained everything, saved a wipe, did everything really. I just thank God I didnt make a comment of that bard lvl.

Think the comprehension of it will always be beyond me.

In his own words one level of bard useful at low levels, annoying at mid levels, and ****ing pain at high levels, but hearing blah ask him for bard songs in epic raiyum with just one bard level: priceless"

I have may fine memories of Brenna. I pugged with him alot over the last four years. He helped me key for my very first Titan raid. He ran me and two guildies through even though we were'nt part of his guild. Very generous.
Does anyone know why he left?? Will he be back?
