So i did this quest with a group and i looted a sun blade. One party member saw that and was all like: Oh wow a sun blade! You can sell that for like a hella lot. So after asking how much a hella lot was, i got: "something with 6 zeros." "What like gold?" "No dude! Platinum!". To be honest i don't really belief it so i turn to the expertise of the forum people.
How much should i sell my sun blade for?
Here's a link: http://compendium.ddo.com/wiki/Weapon:Sun_Blade
p.s.: For those who want to buy it themselves, PM me. I'm on kybher(or something)

Depends on your server, I'm sure. They go for a couple million gold (not platinum) on mine.

there are almost always people trying to buy a sunblade in the harbor for 100k plat (1 mil gold)

The Sun Blade is worth a pretty penny. It sells for about 100,000 plat. If you're on Ghallanda, I'll buy it for 75,000 plat :)

So for how much does it sell on Khyber?

Just put it out there for those figures and see if you get a bite. 100k plat sounds about right

it used to be sold at 1m-2.5m gold in sarlona. i am not spotting anymore of it or i was not looking for more.
i got one for 1.2m gold last november (1month of playing) and never used it since. :D
its overrated item, i jump the bandwagon and got screwed, there are better replacement for that item anyway.. unless you are a pure nuetral char.

Correction, unless you are a pure neutral character without Use Magic Device :)

It also depends on the build...as it's a Short Sword (light) with 1D10+2 Slashing. I've seen these dual wielded with deadly effect against mid level undead.

100K plat eh? Sounds like i'm one heck of a lucky bastard. I don't even know what to do with all that.

IMHO it's not worth nearly that much.
A sun blade used to be the uber undead beater, especially for rogues. It USED to be worth that much. Now there are other options, and better ones at that, but people still pay the old prices because they either haven't realized that there are other/better options, or they just don't know better.
Now you have all the f2p'ers who come from a PnP background and see a sun blade and think "AWESOME!" when it's just "meh" IMO.

Yea, people pay ridiculous amounts for it, when it's really not worth it. A +2 holy shortsword of pure good does more damage. Only real advantage the Sunblade has is against Zombies, and Zombies really stop being an opponent you ever see once you get to about level 9.

Pretty much spot on, but we do have new epic content.
My rogue does have it enabled in a weapon set though.

I don't agree with this statement. A +2 holy ss of pg should do 1d6 (ss) + 2d6 (holy) + 1d6 (pg) +2 (enhancement). That would average at 16 damage <max 26>(+ str modifier, but str is the same for both weapons).
The sunblade does 1d10 (ss) + 1d10 +4(undead bane) +2 (additional enhancement vs evil) + 2 (enhancement). That averages to 19 damage <max 28>.
That additional +2 enhancement vs evil is what makes up most of the difference. A +4 h ss of pg would have 18<28> damage and the same + to attack that the sunblade does. This makes a +4 version a more appropriate weapon to compare with the ML 6 Sunblade. I believe that to be the reason that the sunblade is as valued as it is.
It could be argued that the Sunblade has 1d10 that can be blocked by DR while the H ss of PG only risks 1d6, but most of the users of these weapons should have a Str score(+ power attack +enhancements) that can overcome DR (not bypass, do more damage than, I don't know if there is an exact word).

I also like dual-wielding Sunblades due to the "range" of them. If you can twitch, you can pretty much hit stuff and back out and never get hit. They are huge. If you have the "plat" and most people who have played this game a while...do. It is an Amazing "twink" item. Really there is nothing better from lvl 6 till pretty much lvl 12. Though I am not counting DR bypassing weapons (silver/adamantine/etc) or the greater banes.
You can fly through Delera's with these. And who does'nt spam part 2 and 4 of this for big XP? You can fly through Wiz-King with these. And who does not spam this for big XP? You can fly through pretty much any undead quest with these. And undead are what you fight quite often from lvl 1 till about lvl 16ish. Then its all about the Evil outsiders.
If I make a dual-wielder...these are what they use until I swap to Heavy Picks and have Imp Crit, or some nice Khopesh. Also a Paladin with Hunter of Undead...these rock through Necropolis due to the Pre Ghost Touch ability. To the people who say they are'nt worth it. They most likely have never used them, or do not have the gold lieing around to buy em. Gold/Plat is pretty much worthless in this game once you get a few "nice" items. Eventually everything is about greensteel and raid loot. Greensteel is more/less limited by "cleansing" or shard of power/large devil scales. Raid loot is just luck/time.
To OP, these are worth 1 mill Gold on Ghallanda, but you may be able to get more.
edit...typing this make me wanna start working on my Dual-wielding BRD and roll D's tomb again lol.
