I know mental toughness requires you to be a class that can cast spells

Does the arcane prodigy active feat have the same requirement?

I ask because I noticed that in my enhancement listing it qualified as a prereq for arcane archer. If that were true then a re-inc sorc to elf could be an arc archer as a pure fighter or some other combo of 20 non-casting class levels.

Has anyone done a re-inc from a sorc to a non-caster class and if so did you have the option of arcane prodigy as a first level feat?

everyone who was a sorc befor can take it, even lvl20 fighters

though it wont grant any spellpoints in that case and thus would be totally useless

the L20 fighter will get 10 charges of random elemental damage spell that is practically useless. :D

well if it works the plan is to have a kensai 3 arc archer with either evasion from 2 levels of rogue or fighter capstone

then you still wont have any spellpoints and cant use any imbue nor the returnign arrows

I'm not sure how it works honestly but the arc arch enhancement comes with 20 spell points so that is good enough for an imbue, and assuming either arc prodigy or arc archer enhancement gives you a spell point bar then you can wear a power/wizardry item to get 100-150 more points

the AA only gives you spellpoints if you already have some
as a fighter18/rog2 you dont and thus you wont have any sp

and you dont need to be an AA to get the house D arrows

I don't see how you could know that unless you are a dev or you tried it yourself. The enhancement description says "Also grants +20 spell points."

I don't see how you can be so thick; do magi items grant 100 sp to fighters?

just for you:

Unfortunately, you won't have any spell points to power your Arcane Archer abilities as a pure class fighter, even with Arcane Prodigy - like the Past Life, the spell points are only granted to those that actually possess a spell point pool.

The thought was that Arcane Prodigy is "Mental Toughness Plus", so if Mental Toughness was a valid prereq, it should be one too.

Thank you, in searching for arcane prodigy I never saw that thread come up. I guess the dev's are just against non-vanilla arc archer builds
