Points?

How do you get the gold points from the store when you press cntrl+s I play quests on hard+ and my gold stays at 137. Am I doing it wrong?

these points you either have to earn favor for (100 favor points= 25 store points), or pay cash for....

Every 100 favor you reach, per character, will get you 25 more store points. You will get an in-game mail when you get this.
Your first character per server will also gain some bonus store points at certain favor levels, though I forget the numbers.

Keep in mind a quest's maximum favor is achieved by running it once on Elite. Running a quest multiple times on the same difficulty doesn't give you any more than once on that difficulty.

Also, how do you check how many favore points you have? And is it just elite that you get favore points, or does epic give you some too?

Epic doesn't give any more favor than Elite.
Casual, Normal, and Hard all give favor, just less amounts than Elite.

Press 'P' ingame and go to the third tab. The bottom bar is your total favor on that character, with the rest of the bars being your favor per patron.
