View Full Version : How often do brokers reset their wares?
In other words, if I am looking for something very specific but that other people might consider vendor trash (like a finesse kama of greater parrying, for instance), how often do I need to check house D? Also, are there trade message boards online for any servers? Thanks.

Brokers are reset, when the Instance in which they are is reset.
So if noone is in House D for 5 minutes, no House D instance exists. If you than move over there, you have an empty broker as a new instance is created.
There are Server Forums in these forums they inculde a marketplace that is for just the purpose you need.
Not sur if f2ps can access those forums though.

Premium certainly can, though F2P cannot. Reason to go premium #873

They seem to reset more than that.
Check out the Inspired Quarter and Amrath brokers - these are two instances that should never reset, yet items disappear from them that would never have a hope of selling (things like +4 Thundering Great Crossbow of Power 7).

That could be a limit on the total number of items rather than a reset.

The scope of the instance is limited to the area you have to Zone into. So for the weapons broker in house D, it is the Instance inside the Weapons Broker, not all of House D that is on the timer. The timer is the same one that quests have. If everyone leaves a quest and takes more than 5 minutes to return, the quest resets.
It is entirely possible that someplace like the spire in Amarath could be empty of characters for a few minutes, especially at some times of the day. It is also clear that the brokers have a Maximum number of listings. You can see this when you sell a lot of stuff (pages of items to a single broker, and their list of things to buy does not get any longer.)
