Using TR bank space as long-term storage

I'll preface this by saying that I'm about to TR my first character, so I might be missing something.

Is it possible to use the special bank space that gets created when you reincarnate as long-term storage for items that you want to hold onto, but don't have an immediate need for?

In other words, I have many Dragonshards, portable holes, and tomes that I don't need immediately...even some nice unbound weapons that I'm not using at the moment. If I transfer those from other characters onto the one I'm about to TR, they would be placed in the special bank space until I move them out right?

Is this a viable long-term storage tactic or is there some reason that this wouldn't be a good idea?

It works until you want to TR again (if you even do). You'll have to empty it all out first.
And I think theres a limit on how many items you can see at a time in the cache, but I'm not sure.

I still have tons of items in my TR cache. Mainly Dragonshard fragments from Reavers Refuge and Mindsunder weapons I don't need.
So yes, I would say it's a nice long-term storage if you plan it this way :)

yup the items will stay in there forever, but keep in mind if you take something out you can't put it back in.

Yeah, I know I can't put anything back in.

For the record, I'm thinking of moving a ton of decent, but unused items from other toons onto Cynder before I TR her. I'll then put items she'll need during the first 5-6 levels in the shared bank. That way, I can keep as many items as possible in the TR bank until I need them.

Voila! 200+ one-time long-term storage spaces for as long I want to keep them (or until I TR again).

Befor TRing , I recommend getting all the peices of the Sigil. Because you'd probbly not find many doing it at level but at least you'd have the pre-raid quest ready. And that is nice for quick exp hehe.
