Ok first off its good to be back ...
Ok 3 years ago i made this chr to be a good pure end game CC / buffer and heal with wands (what was i thinking)
Yesterday i logged in to my pure bard lvl 9 Halfling and did a del's tomb run on elite...
In this run i had 1 kill died like 8 times didnt CC anything wasted 8 healing wands and broke everything i was wearing with this i almost deleted the toon and said im done with bards lol but bought a greather revamp thingie instead
1.Ok now im needing help and im confused about the new spellslinger, warchanter and the other one. Im looking for a Bard that can Buff/Heal and CC (even though i heard CC is pointlessin endgame if this is true then CC is not Needed) and if possible i would like to make money with haggle..
2. Weapon Weapon is best i heard rapiers and i heard Heavy Crossbows ( i would like to try heavy crossbows this time around i think.
3. Should i remake the toon or is all this possible with the greater revamp. Cause i heard drows and Humans where better now then Halflings.
Thanks again for even reading my plea and i hope people can help im desperiate lol

welcome back, you are playing AN ENTIRELY different game now. I left for a year and came back and it took over 2 months to fully acclamate to al lthe changes. I know how ya feel man.
the only question I feel qualified to respond to is in regard to the choice of weapons...
Now, whoever suggested heavy crossbow wins the epic failure advice award.
ranged is only situational useful and any sort of crossbow be it repeating, light or heavy is so slow and ineffective it would be best to just throw rocks (this is not an exaggeration...a thrown weapon is arguably better.)
if your gonna choose between the two..Go rapier, no question about it.

First, and fore most, Welcome back to the game!!
Some people find bards difficult to play and I've tried 3 times to make one 'right'. My bard now is Bard 11/Fighter 2, halfling Warchanter. The warchanters have songs and abilities that help more towards combat. Mine wields two-handed weapons.:D
Spellsingers are a caster's and healer's best friend. With their spell song, you get a discount on SP costs of spells. My GF plays good spell singers, I can't, but she can.
Virtuoso bards are rare in the game. Their Fascinate song lasts longer and damage only has a 'chance' to break the effect. Which is really cool.
So it would really depend on your play-style. If you want to be in the combat with the melees and keep up to them in dps or kills, go with a Warchanter.
If you want to stay back a bit, less melee and more buffing/healing, go with a Spell Singer.
If you want to run around and make good use of your Fascinate ability to beat down mobs while they just stand there (great for a bad PUG), go with Virtuoso.
I hope all this helps and Welcome back. It can sometimes be a pain trying to figure out all the PrEs.:D

First off, dont judge too harshly on Delera's Elite.
You can't CC undead without Song of the Dead, so of course the CC would be bad.
And Elite is scaled CR +5... so as a level 9 bard, you are going against level 10-13 mobs on elite.
Delera's is just one of those quests bards and rogues learn to hate. And Elite is supposed to be a major resource drain anyway. As a CC bard, its natural to feel frustrated there. But don't give up hope on bards yet; Gianthold (big uglies with low Will saves) will make you happy again. ;)
My advice is to run some more level appropriate stuff normal/hard to get a feel for your character and find out what has changed. Sorrowdusk is good, Stormcleave is good, Gwylan's/Tear of Dakkan (sp?) are good.
Welcome back!

1) I play a CC Bard (Spellsinger) endgame, and enjoy her. DPS bards (Warchanters) are considered more endgame useful though.
CC Bard (32pt) Human
STr: 15 - so you can hit stuff
Con: 15 - hps
Cha: 18 + level ups
Feats:
1) Toughness 1) Extend 3) Spell Foc enchant 6) Empower Healing or Maximise 9) Spell Foc Enchant 12) Spell Pen 15) Spell Pen 18) Heighten
2) If you are a CC bard, cast Master's Touch and use a Falchion. If you are a dps bard and have the twf feats, either rapier or khops if you canafford the feat. Range + Bard = no go.
3) FOr CC Halfling doesn't get you a lot. HUman gets you one extra feat (so a spell foc or spell pen) and one extra charisma, while drow would get you +2 cha. I prefer HUman.
Hope that helps.
