Has anyone noticed large lag spikes in the last couple of weeks or so? Last night we almost wiped easy-peasy VoD on norm because of a group-wide lag spike. Lag has always been an annoyance in the Shroud but last runs have been a lagfest from part I through V. Even 6-man instances in Shavarath have been specially laggy. My PC ain't a pimped out gaming rig, but it's a $800 builder with a pretty decent NVidia video card with ddr3 vram and might as well be running it on an IBM 8088XT because DDO frame-rate drops to almost zero. Every other game I play (including Dragon Age, RoM, BF:BC2, etc. ) all run nicely at high settings. So I'm assuming it's not a client-side hardware problem.
So ... anyone else seeing the lag monster coming back for a painful revenge?

I haven't, but a mate I was playing with last night froze up then lagged out so bad he got kicked out of voice chat. He didn't get disconnected but took a couple of minutes for the lag wave to pass.

Yeah its been bad, getting lag spikes everywhere. Been on solo runs and just lagging there also. Does not seem to be specific to any one area.

This. I've been seeing really bad lag anywhere and everywhere, whether solo or in a group. I was doing tap runs in the Orchard last night with a full group, and the lag we were experiencing was horrendous.

I like to think of it less as lag and more of the dev's way of making a dungeon harder...

This is a definite yes for me. Completely lagged out twice during skelly runs last night. I assume it was our fault though.. we ran by the living flame strikes and giant skeletons thereby causing tremendous lag spikes and high disk utilization on the gaming server. :P
Has Turbine ever produced a graph of chart of how zerging has caused lag? Have they produced an example where a large amount of unkilled mobs had a direct correlation to a specific instance of lag?

Been saying this since the last Patch.
I was told that some people are getting it from cleric hirelings, which I found to be a big cause of it for me (as I was soloing in Orchard and Desert and freezing up until I was mobbed to death). I cant solo that stuff well without a cleric hireling though.
Even without the cleric hireling though, I have had lag pretty bad lately. It comes and goes and looks nothing like the lag I used to have. My buffs/debuffs bug and stay up on the screen at 0:00 while the blur/doom still shows. My load ins are longer and I get frozen in place while the mobs/hirelings seem to be fighting still (when I come back, a large group of red letters shoots from the top of my head like a rocket).
If this was on my end, I would think that I would have encountered it in the 3 years I was playing this game already.
