Yeah, there's a PAX East sub-section on the forums here, but no one looks at it...
Wanted to maybe start a "let's talk everything DDO at Pax and Pax in general" thread. Who all's going to be there? Type and be counted! I'll try to post up some pics and stuff too in here.

I wish I could be there. I tried to get my Company to let me go up to either our Windsor or Merrimack facilities so I could be closer, but that was shot down...lol
Looking forward to some pics.

Have fun, guys. :)
PAX Prime here in Seattle has always been an absolute blast - and I wish I could be there for PAX East. I also want one'a them scarves they're selling... but alas, it was not to be.
Have a great time, and please say Hi! to the Devs for me.

Btw guys my birthday is Saturday so I'm going to try and figure out something to do that night. Any and all are welcome to join me on whatever venture I find to do.. (still deciding since I've never been to Boston and don't know what all else there is to do there heh)

Just go to the North End for dinner, then walk to Fanueil Hall for the nightlife, that's if, of course, bars, clubs, bars, beers, bars, and girls are your thing.

I'm turning 20 not 21 sadly so yea :( otherwise I'd be going to the parties they are throwing already. Stupid age limited parties.

Oh, and a few tips and pointers for those going to PAX East...
Do NOT make direct contact with Tarrant! While it has yet to be actually proven - there is enough circumstantial evidence to say that he is the one who brought the PAX Pox (http://tobolds.blogspot.com/2009/09/pax-pox.html) to Seattle last year!
Remember folks - he is the Evil Overlord. So while eye-contact may be risky enough... don't risk contributing to another convention pandemic.
On that note - and very seriously . Purel is your best friend at these conventions. You don't know who has been using the game controller or keyboard before you have, and a little glob of Purel goes a long way. Myself, my wife, and my two kids got sick after PAX 09, and it sucked. Pick up a small bottle and carry it with you. Don't go nuts with it - but disinfect with it before eating if ya can.
Showers. I'm sure Boston has one or two around... avail yourself of them. Trust me, you will encounter the Convention Musk, and don't want to contribute to it.
Bring something to do.
Be it a book, a DS, whatever. Some other form of auxiliary entertainment is a great idea - because there will be lines for **** near anything.
You'll want to attend either the PA Panel or the PA Make a Strip presentations in the main hall. Preferably both! They are highlights of the show, and Gabe and Tycho are awesome in person. You'll be happy you wrenched yourself out of the expo hall to do so.
Enjoy guys. :) I am jealous, and wish I could be there.

Good advice! Although I'm sure Tarrant's no longer contagious. At least I hope so....
PSP - yes. I do want to see the PA panel but am unwilling to wait for hours in line to secure a seat, so we'll see how it goes.
Showers? How many Turbine Points does that cost?

I do want to see the PA panel but am unwilling to wait for hours in line to secure a seat, so we'll see how it goes.Check out and see how big the main hall actually is before you decide how much line-time you do/do not want to invest. Usually, the ones who wait fill up about 3/4 of the hall, and the rest of it fills in after they open the doors and the line thins out dramatically. Showing up close to show-time may still net you a seat - and they have large TV screens so those in the back can still see pretty well.
Oh, one more thing... the concerts are awesome. Jonathan Coulton is simply outstanding, and I urge all of you to catch his show.
One of the best PAX memories I have out of all the years I've gone was seeing "Still Alive", aka The Portal End Song, sung by Jonathan and Felicia Day two years ago. Yes, that Felicia Day. :D
MC Frontalot also puts on a fantastic show.

This thread is not yet mega enough and so I am posting an otherwise useless post to help it grow.
That said, seriously, shower before you go please....and in your best interests, you should probably shower again afterwards! ;)

ZOMG WASH HANDS OFTEN! Don't let the nice weather lull you into a false sense of security. Looking forward to seeing folks there, stop by to say hello!
Marketroid is thinking next year we make a gelatinous cube made of hand sanitizer that you must place your hands inside when you arrive at the booth. :D

That shouldn't be to hard.....I thought we had come to the conclusion sometime ago we would never have Gnomes in the game cause Tarrant would feel like a Gieco Caveman everytime a short little Gnome was created.

Ok, I cant afford the admission to get into PAX, and I don't wanna go in with guns blazing...
What's the best alternative for me to get in? Third echelon tells me the ventilation system is quite open to entry...

Bomb Threat, and you in the big greenish bomb squad costume? Make sure you point out the box of Turbine goodies are the bomb, and you need to dispose of it.
