what is better dps dark monk or light monk?

What animal path should i take?

Dark path is technically better dps because of touch of death, but you need to consider what else you want to do too. Light path offers some self healing and some nice group buffs that you can't get with Dark. If dps is your only concern though, dark is the way to go.

There are a few good animal path choices. Again it depends on what you need. If you go dark path you may find yourself lacking ki. Elegant Crane can help with that, but it does come at the cost of a reduced fortitude save. Clever Monkey is always a solid option for extra resists. Patient Tortoise is nice for some extra hit points and concentration (though not necessarily worth taking all tiers of it). Some monks use faithful Hound if they run epics a lot for the to hit bonus when flanking, but that is pretty specialized. Don't take Tenacious Badger and you're fine :)
