I am getting a new system and think I may be able to record some good vids.
I see many on youtube that are good and many that are poor.
I was hoping people would post their secrets for weaker and stronger systems, also for audio.
My new system is a quad core, 6 gigs mem, 896mb vid mem, with directx10.
I am going to try to use the onboard sound card and a headset through it to get game and chat with video.
I would like to get really high quality fraps on it, a good large size.
I know fraps does avi.
I have tried taking that avi that looks good and turning it into a mp4 but it becomes scary messed up. This was with my old system.
so...
---any tips or hints on the best way to get that high quality and being able to render it to a diff format for youtube?
---anything special to watch out for?
---is there anything in the game that should be set diff or can be set diff to make it a better vid (turbine adds lots of graphic fine tuning in the options but then goes on to explain absolutely zero about what they do....)
---does the monitor settings in anyway affect the vid capture?
---does windows settings of resolution versus ddo resolution affect the vid capture?
---I am planning on using sony vegas video to render the vids, is there something better or quicker that you use?
----I notice the lighting recorded is way different than the lighting I see on my monitor, does the capture ignore the ddo settings on brightness and such?
--is it better to use two graphics cards in sli or such to really make it work?
any helps, tips, etc, for me and anyone else doing it, please feel free to post.
When I get the new system working I will post what worked for me...and what did not.
hey devs......anyway we can get a real good explanation of all those video settings in the options?
