2 VIP hardcore gamers looking for list of top raiding guilds on the server.

Hullo all. I am a member of a (rogue/paladin) + barb duo. We have both recently returned to the game after playing in early 2009, prior to the 'unlimited' business model. We've been very impressed with what we've seen: the game is much more active and has a lot of new content. We both played in beta EQ and have been playing MMO's for 11 years since.

Long story short, we want to get some real end-game ddo raid experience. I'd like to get a list of the top, oh, say three serious raiding guilds on the server, their websites, and their entrance reqs if available. Thanks!

A number of the guilds talk about raiding.

Top 3 Raiding guilds in my mind are:

Legion
Erebus
Pestilence

Closely after them...

Band of the Shifting Sands
Maelstrom Tharashk
Inferus Sus
Darpa
DWAT

There are others that I know of, but I don't run with that many others. The ones above do it successfully, pretty much all the time. There are many others as well, especially some of the newer guilds that I do't know so well.

GL... most of them are invite only and after showing your stuff, time and time again.

if you are looking to get into a raiding guild i have crated one called rest in pieces currently recruiting everyone levels 15+ you can put in an application here http://www.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?ForumID=1671788&PostCount=3&GuildID=335528&TabID=2808484#forums after you have read the rules and submited an application you will most likely get accepted due to the guild being VERY small right now but it has the grounds and leadership to becoming one of the top. so get in while you can ;-)

Ok you guys are looking for a top guild.

But what do you bring?

Most top guilds have mostly vets in them. They expect a certain playing ability and knowledge of quests. Mind you we will teach to a point.

If you look into DARPA expect tough love, poking fun at one another, and a well organized group of vets. No tolerance for any drama.

We are small but yet recognized as a top guild. We are looking to expand our numbers. This goes to anyone reading this. *tired of your current guild, talk to anyone in darpa* :-)

I would not expect to see Erebus here. At all. Too new. Not that we care/mind much :D

Also. Had some guildies "defect" to Inferus Sus. Have heard nothing but good things about them. Cant say the same for some other names mentioned above though :P

Bah, you would be on my "good" list, but only 1 invite from your group since being back for a couple of months now and that time I was on my Cleric that bailed ya mates out. I haven't heard back from ya since.

From what i have seen out of erebus i wouldn't put them on the top raiding guilds. They can be decent but not on the same playing field. Sorry mini

As Woetide said, Erebus is a newish guild and capable in any raid, top three material? who knows, who cares.

No reason to be sorry... people don't always agree.

My list was IMO and since I have a bit of experience in game and base my opinions on that and the people I know and chat with in game.

I ran with Erebus, they were a well oiled machine, reminding me of Legion in skill and synchronicity and the only time I seem to see them, they are raiding.

We don't invite people. We put up lfm fill and go and can pull it out with whatever. Saved a run we did ok sure mini wasn't there so don't know what ya talking about.:cool:

Anyways would take any of your guild accept one if hit the LFM and not the one because made a complete *** of himself in a raid. Not that he was bad just really ****y over minor stuff.
