Seems we have a million and one seperate threads about the Thelanis issue, maybe if we can just use this thread to get official answers or to add specific info regarding issues we've had to allow Tarrant et al to easily choose one place to give us feedback.

Yes this server has had a longer history of issues.. I suspect many things, and although my notions are many, they are not worth a penny.

Yes a little feedback would be great. I finished my 12 hour shift almost 2 hours ago and got 10mins of AH lagg and then booted :( Of course the problem is only with Thelanis as the other servers are fine which I think is due to the fact that Thelanis has the sexiest name of all the servers and has the most population. I have been playing this game since last summer, luvin it and have purchased all of the content, however the lag sometimes on this server is so bad. I believe the server Thelanis should get a upgrade! perhaps a "super server" to deal with the increased population compared to the other servers. I suspect one of the biggest problems is the fact that people from around the world as far as Australia are connecting to our North American servers at over 350ms ping 0_0


With all the lag especially during peak times, I have mostly countered it by adjusted my gaming schedule to early mornings and late night which has worked out great with my overall satisfaction of gameplay :)
however this doesn't hide the fact that I am really jealous that all the other servers are running fine and I can't join them because I don't have any toons or friends on the other servers or time, energy to start a whole new life on another server :D

P.S. Please Turbine Thelanis is the most tempting server to join as a new player because of it's sexy name so please please make it run like your flagship server! I myself have invested over $500 into this game and bet many many more have done the same... please upgrade the quality of the server. the server is one thing but the game is by far the most amazing and adventurous game I have ever experienced so full props to turbine for that.

I propose that, for each week where Thelanis crashes for more than an hour (i.e. unplanned downtime), and no other server has significant issues, all Thelanis players get 250 free TP's for the inconvenience. That should persuade them to feed the hamster better.

P.S. You only count as a Thelanis player if the sum of all character levels on the server exceeds the sum of all character levels on any OTHER server!

Didn't we get the boot a while back for server upgrades? Oh well ... hu-mahns build and program computers and Murphy is the patron saint of unexpected errors, so what should we expect? DDO is, after all, a hideously complicated collection of programs. Maybe if we ... but no, it isn't up to us.

Think I'll go play on Argo for a while ... BUT WAIT! I don't have 32 pt builds there yet ... Drat! Patience may be a virtue, but even my veteran Paladin and Cleric want to kill something. Guess I'll go feed my dog.

Oh right, I don't have a dog. They've rolled their estimate forward another hour, so I should have time to go get one. :D

Sure enuf, they just announced that both servers will be down until around 1:00 EDT. Bummer, dude.
