Last year we finished with like 4.5k votes against Valve, I think, which is what Zynga ended up with at the end of this round. Oh, and it was against NCsoft which has plenty of reasons to be despised. Next week, it's going against Infinity Ward. We'll see how it fairs against a pretty popular studio.

Heck, we should rally to kick Zynga out next week.

Infinity Ward is, by far, a much better developer than Zynga and their arrogance really ****** me off:


The weirdest moment came from the guy accepting the Best Online Social Game for Facebook game Farmville (who immediately became known among the buzzing attendees as "that Farmville *******"). He used his acceptance speech to take a swipe at all the indie types who had been trashing his game all week, and then he said that Farmville maker Zynga had plenty of openings, not-so-subtly implying that if any of the indie kids wanted to get a REAL job, they could submit an application. Thus he achieved the impossible feat of making everyone in the room hate Farmville even more.

Folks, Anticipate the final round to have poll counts around 6-7 thousand on both sides.

Between the tweet feature and the hype, that's a conservative estimate. The voting turnout for round 1 alone has been much larger than previous years. Again, twitter is definitely inflating the vote.

Personally, I wanna see the Blizzard vs. Turbine. ANd Bioware? Not impressed yet. Valve?? Last thing they made that I liked was Portal.

Personally Team ICO should win it all. But I know that isn't gunna happen. But I am voting for them. As for Platinum...I really think this will be easy. Closer but I see another win. THEN we will need to crack down on our voters. Start adverting the contest. So forth.

LOL Id only be worried if PlayFish & RockYou were there... there should be a FaceBook Mayhem and those Apps could battle it out for Supreme Facebook... there could be a special category even "Most Annoying" gosh that would be too close to call :D
