you wont believe this, but I got the spawn and freaking missed my shot. The dweller was there for less than 1 second, and I had no firewall down, missed my shot. GM said tough luck and I now hate them with a passion. I know the spawn is short, but someone already had the same problem as me, and GM helped. So ****ed.

I suppose this means I should lay a blade barrier around the clam before opening it in the hopes it fails a DC 19 reflex save(haha!) Of course that's assuming I'm feeling masochistic enough to farm that quest for anything other than pie pieces. Maybe someday!

OK, I have never run a quest so much that I can no longer get a reward.

Question, does this mean that I need too wait a few days to start farming again, I mean...does this affect the shot of a rare spawn? Anyone knows or have experience about this let me know.

Also, I have studied this quest so well, its like the back of my hand now. For the record, I cant do it on elite with out recalling as I am just shy of 2k SP at L19. I have a MAJOR secret to killing the boss.

Lets just say, she cant touch you. All the spawn in the world doesn't matter around her (I have decided she is a she), and if you play your cards right (must have FW/BB) you just stand there in peace watching her die. PM me for more in game, but you gotta take a run with me. After I get my drop AGAIN I will share with everyone.

right freaken on top of the clam. believe it or not, I have been casting two, one on TOP OF THE CLAM and one near it. I got so demoralized from my runs I started to expect a let down....then I forgot to drop the wall...then I got the let down I was looking for.

Answer to your question is no, endreward (or lack of it) will not effect spawn rate for the eardweller.. also notice how the chest/clam never gets ransacked? (clamsacked)

I'm pretty sure what your 'major' secret is, although I wouldn't like to say on the forums. However if it is what I am thinking about; BBs do not work because the boss isn't moving, standing on a ledge hiding is more of an arcane thing ;)

Ps. Shadow, i'm really sorry you didn't kill it in time!! I have to admit I panicked, because i had 6sp left when the little pink thing jumped out of the chest! i'm just glad I had my sp pots! keep at it shadow, you'll get it! (again)

your right about the BB...I have never used it and really didn't realize it required more technique to use then FW. And for the record, I'm not hiding, I'm usually cussing and hoping for crits :)

I wont go into detail about the boss battle on the forums, its easy to figure out. I am happy that I was able to get something from my frustration, and running this quest has given me an upgrade to my moving skills! Clamsacked..lol...

Hard or Elite (elite give you more of a shot). I would read all the threads about this before you start..

I have tried a couple of times solo on hard. I can get to the end boss with only 1 recall. I just can't do enough damage to her to take her down. Maximized & Empowered firewalls do hardly nothing but I can get her to where she dosn't hit me much and the spawns don't bother me.

For Hard, you should (SP pending) always go for a crit wall. Just watch for the first tick and see if its a crit, if not recast till you get one. Its very slow to let a normal wall burn her. A crit wall will take her out on hard very very very fast.

For Elite, ONLY your crit walls will hurt her (she also does not like cold). It takes 4-5 crit/extened FW to kill her all the way (if you do a min of 200-250 per tick)

Also, you know the spot where the clam is? Jump into the wall above the way out...and smile when you fight her.. <-try this you can PM me if you need more details

Flamicia and Jazzmin of Orien both have them now. Flam got his around 36 runs. Unknown how many Jazzmin took. My character Selina is at 57 runs no eardweller.

I struggled to farm eye of the titan elite, it took me ages then found out about dreaming dark, i got my fod/wail up to 38 / 39 lich but you cant drink lesser restore pots it seems so didnt go lich.

14 runs titan nothing.

6 runs dreaming drak elite solo got it.

MY fvs wanted one so took a fellow caster with me, we got it after about 9 runs. Another 6 didnt reveal a second, going back tomorrow to get fellow caster one.

DD is the way forward. edit, you dont have to complete DD, get the 3 keys and go for bonus chest.

harm will remove ability damage for pale masters the same way heal will work for everyone else.

Confirmed, you can still get the Eardweller to spawn EVEN if you are ransacked... (See Pic Below)

In order to get it to drop, you need to break a crystal when you first get it, and then after you kill half the mobs, you break another crystal, finish killing the mobs, and break the last crystal. Then, throw a blade barrier around the chest, make sure you have a Finder bless the chest, Comet fall (or meteor swarm it) and have everyone open it at the same time. /sarcasm off
