Played DDO since it went free for about a month or two. Got back into it within the past month. I am a very casual gamer looking for a group that is just into it to have fun. I like to drink, smoke and get belligerent.

At the same time I find myself with a growing interest in the mechanics of the game. As much as I would like to take the time and dive into it all, realistically I cant. I want to have fun but I don't want to have my time wasted on screwing up my character either so I would like a bit of seasoned advice as I go along. I have found TOO much info on how to build up your character from every tom, **** and harry that in the end it all seems like a vague jumbled mess.

So I am looking for F2P guild that doesn't take the game tooo seriously but at the same time likes to succeed and do well. Would like a reliable solid seasoned source of advice thats a little more specific than what I have found so far.

Also get tired of finding myself n a group that rushes through quests leaving people behind missing extra objectives and other stuff. I like to take my time, take in all the eye candy the game has to offer and admire the artistry of the graphics itself. It is quite a beautiful game.

I am normally on at least a few times a week so I think my interest in the game is enough for me to take it to the next level which is joining a guild. I see allot of guilds. Guild overload! Too many to actually look into them all and give them all a fair once over. So if any interested guild feel that my description matches there modus operandi give me a holla!

Give our guild recruitment post (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=231138) a look and see if we might be a good fit for you. Regardless, look any of us up in-game if you need someone to group with.

I found a searchg function at myddo where I can search for guilds and individuals. Its useful if I know what I am looking for. But is there a list of active guilds at myddo or somewhere else?

You sound like a perfect fit for Unrepentant!

Okay, I know, it's a line. Sue me. However, most of our guild tends to drink while gaming, we generally are new to DDO for the most part, but we have several seasoned vets who have joined up since we opened our branch on Sarlona, all with a solid grasp on both the mechanics of the game, and a good longneck bottle.

We've got our own Vent server, and a boat-load of patience... trust me, I'm the biggest newb there and no one has thrashed me yet.

Give a look around the Website (http://www.unrepentantgaming.org/forum/index.php), and if you like what you see post an app.

Thanks. I have checked into a handful or more of guilds just don't want to jump on-board with just anyone. I am in no rush.

Since guilds are part of the DDO automation (part of the game) I just assumed that there would be a complete list somewhere for quick reference. Is there such a thing?

Hi Crunk,

While we're not a F2p guild as such, we at The Unrepentant don't require our members to be p2p either and we're always looking for new members, so please check out the unrepentant.

We are quite a casual Guild but do have a wealth of expertees and experience in DDO along with alot of other MMOs and make every effort to place having fun above all else, check us out we may be just what your looking for.

At the Unrepentant, we essentially only have 3 rules – be over 18 years old, have fun and avoid the usual guild B/S. If this fits you, why not go to the above mentioned forums and fill out an app. We ask you about your most embarrassing story and zombie survival plan. After a bit of lively forum banter, we run a few quests in DDO to make sure you match us but most importantly the The U matches you.

Send one of our members a tell in game(find us on the who list) or visit our web site www.unrepentantgaming.org for more information.

Dave

Still looking for a guild. I have found that the myDDO is greatly lacking in actually accounting for the Guilds on a particular server. Yes you can look that up but it does not include all guilds sadly.

So I been really looking into guilds I see actively posting here because that lets me know they are actually active. Also been trying to keep up with the ones I see frequently in game.

I would like a guild with atleast a semi-active community/forum discussion board. Not just a portal site with one thread that says "News" with the last post being in January of 09.

I am a very busy person with limited time but I love gamming and taking part in that games community. I am an active member of a team in an entirely different game that participates in an ongoing ladder style league. I been doing it for a while and only really only enjoy it’s competitive nature.

That being said I come to play DDO looking for a different sensation. I just want to sit back chill and have a good time, build up my toons, avoid the turds, and get to know some people along the way.

Unfortunately Myddo is a very flawed tool. Your best bet would be to run with some of the guilds that have expressed interest here if you can. Also talking to people in game about their guilds if you run with someone that seems to fit your playstyle.

I cant be of much help as I havent run with most of the new guilds on any type of regular basis, mostly just one or two that jump in my groups when we lfm a few spots.

GL and welcome back :)
