If you, like many other are getting the "Cannot connect to billing" error, simply run "Disk Cleanup" and make sure to remove all temporary files. After doing this DDO started up just fine and I was able to login and play!!!

I think it was likely more an issue of waiting it out. I never got a billing error but was getting inability to connect to world que "error=5000" message when attempting to connect to a specific server. I never ran disk clean up, tho I did give the computer a reboot (which did not solve the issue) and was able to eventually connect to the servers.

Once in the game I did notice more than usual lag. So this would lead me to believe that what was occuring was the log in servers, which I would imagine is with in the realm of possibility to have them tied to the billing servers to check if your account is paid for, were experiencing to much lag from to many people logging in in one general time frame.

Couple this with the recent weekend crashes of the log in servers it seems feasible atleast.

Oh and I did not bother running disk clean up mainly because I did not think about it. It is part of my weekly maintence on my computer that I do every week along with defrag, every friday night after raiding like clock work.

just to vent, this weekend was absolutely atrocious.

i wasn't getting an specific error codes but disconnected 10-15 times over the weekend taking about 10mins a time to successfully reload (with 1-3 times leaving with no alternative but walk away for an hour).

reboots, resets, routers and raging. none seemed to make a difference.
