Veteran Status at 1000 favor

Hey all. Question regarding veteran status. A friend of mine, both of us are recently back into the game after 15 mos. out, purchased a bunch of TP and with those points he purchased veteran status so he could start his toons at level 4. Now I have a level 15 toon with over 1750 favor before I left the game. I noticed on one of my new toons that after the 400 favor for drow the next achievement is 'veteran status' at 1000 favor. I have a couple questions. 1) I am assuming this 1000 favor reward is the same as what he purchased? 2) Should I already be able to take advantage of this achievement because I had a toon with over 1000 favor when I came back into the game or does one of my new toons have to reach the 1000 favor in order to open veteran status. 3) If I should have it already because of my toon with 1750 favor, how do I take advantage of it? I have created a couple new toons since my return to the game and do not recall an option to start at level 4. Any help is appreciated.

It is indeed the same thing that he purchased. I know it is unlocked on that server only. I am pretty sure it is only if that char still exists (though I have heard some people say it is unlocked forever, so...). If you still have that char, what does his total favor status say?

There might be an issue if you unlocked it before F2P, but since I joined after, I cant really help you with that part.

You should talk to Ryo -- the favor rep that gave you your 1750 tome... he also manages veteran status; if you think you don't have it but you should, that should fix it. (Talk to him on any character that has at least 1000 favor.)

Then when you start a new character, you're given the option of how you start -- read the dialog to get the details. If you choose to start at level 4, you'll be on a boat where talking to an NPC will give you a level at a time, and the opportunity to level up.

As Nott said, you probably just need to talk to the favor NPC. Then the first time you log on a new character, you will be able to level up to 4.

Be aware however that unlocking VET status seems to be pretty buggy. I am still not able to do it on one account (even thou that account has a character with over 1800 favor on it). Ryo will not talk to me about it. Char creation never allows VET status. I have another character on that account that is closing in on 1000 favor, hopefully that will unlock it. Have not been able to get any fix from the numerous tickets submitted so far.
