This weekend I was planning on running some solo missions in Three Barrel Cove ... I checked out MyDDO and based on what I saw there I refused my own invite. This MyDDO thing is really getting out of hand. :(

Why? I'm clueless sometimes.

My friend has a Bard that's level 20. He has lots of raid gear, including two T3 GS items. He has Tharnes, a few things from Reaver, completely geared up. He has over 400 hp, a load of SP... and MyDDO has him listed as level 13.
It updates daily. The bottom of the character screen says each day that it has been updated. Yet it still shows him as 13. He gets declined from raids constantly because of it.
I vet people through MyDDO a lot, but only for specific reasons. If I say you need GS weapons to get in the raid, ill check first, ask you second and have you link one if I dont believe you. But that's my vetting process.

Nonsense. Your friend is not getting declined from raids constantly because people have no idea that MyDDO might have the wrong level listed while the actual LFM listing when the person clicks to join has the correct level. He might get declined once or twice by someone who is too dumb to understand how the LFM screen works, but constantly BS.

And therein lies the problem with people leading raids that have the lack of mental capacity that's required for some raids (Reaver excluded)

I wasnt sure about letting myself in groups either as MyDDO indicates page cannot be displayed for my level 14 tempest/kensei. Fortunately the miniMyDDO shows my original incarnation as a cleric that I played up to level 3 while learning the ropes so I know not to let myself in groups.

I've never been denied a group because of MyDDO, but I loaded it up yesterday to see what all the fuss was about. I got a screen asking me to select, on a per character basis, whether I wanted the information to be public or private.
So if you're worried about people using MyDDO to screen you out, just make your character information private.

They will then decide to decline you because you are anonymous or are trying to hide something from them, so they will assume you are gimped and don't want anyone to see that you are gimped.

I wouldn't stand for such a thing and use your /squelch command and add yourself to your friends list so you won't forget such insults. There's no reasonable explanation for such a response!

Like Grifarr too I was a little wary of whether I was suitable ot not to solo Freshen the Air Hard on my lvl 8 Cleric.
After checking MyDDO I discovered my equipment and stats were sub-par and gimpy so had to decline
myself from my group. I didn't want to take the risk of finding out that I myself was a piker or pileon that I'd end up on my "do not group with" list.

To be totally honest ... I was afraid that I would end up just carrying myself through the quest. Who has time for that?

I would have just taken the 10% xp hit and carried my stone through the quest. At least to get it done, you know?

Why do you need a GS to do a Raid, even if it's elite? I see where your going, but can't all raid be done without GS being a must? I also know it's your party, but just seems like your limiting yourself.

Standard response:
"He was not worth grouping with if he is going to be like that!"
Non-standard response:
"Put up your own LFM then you too can refuse to invite..... oh you already did that"

All anon does is hide your forum name, people can still look at your character. All they need is the character name and the server name.

You need the GS to do the raid, to get the GS, to do the raid.........
