I had an issue where about 10 minutes after logging in and selecting a character I would slowly start loosing connections starting with chat servers then the connection icon would turn from green to yellow to red finally kicking me out back to my desktop with a message saying lost connection to server. I noticed that several others on the forum had similar problems but could find no answer.
Eventually I stumbled on to a solution for my problem and hopefully it helps out others. If you go into your web browser then into your modem setup, check your user guide (this might be different certain modems but for my motorola modem it was http://192.168.1.254/), then look for a setting that has something to do with the "IP address lease time used by LAN device" and override it to your desired amount of time, apply change, and restart the modem.
