I'm having a problem with switching characters in game. I have 2 on a server and if I try to switch when i log back on the ppl I had been playing with are no longer there, like I'm in another server or something. I've tried leaving the party and logging off and tried restarting the game but still the same thing. Any suggestions?
Thanx in Advance, Sab

"the ppl I had been playing with are no longer there"?
That doesn't seem right. Have you tried sending them tells?
Maybe people are avoiding you and logging off the second you are gone :)

Nah one is my son and the other a good friend. We use xfire until we get in game so I know where they are at but they can't see me and I can't see them in game or in the social panel. One of my characters works fine the other (the one I'd like to use) Nada! Weird stuff this.

Let me guess. You are still on Korthos, and have only beaten Missery's Peak with one character and not the other.
If you are not, on the "small" map window, you'll see a name. Such as "Marketplace" There are times, due to server population that the server will spawn a new "Marketplace" At which point the name becomes a drop down menu as well. If you click on it you'll see "Marketplace-1" and "Marketpalce-2" as options. click on the one where the others are located and you'll see your friends again.
Also your "friends" list is not auto updated for each character if that is what you are judging things by also. You'll need to "export" then "import" often to update your character's friends list across the server.

Actually I am in Korthos but neither characters have been all the way through. Was a mixup of who was playing what..... anyway, so does Korthos work the same as you were saying about Korthos or should I just delete the other toon to fix the problem?
Thanks for the response, Sab

Naw, the issue is Korthos itself. There is a sunny side and a winter side. Kind of like duct tap. Nothing stays around on the dark/winter side. Once you beat Misseriy's Peak you end up on the Sunny/light side. Every character sticks to the Sunny side from this point on.
Just get all of characters through korthos to get to the sunny side and then you'll always be able to meet up.
There is one known issue. If you have never bound to a tavern, if you die, you'll end up on the winter side of korthos and have to fight your way out. So once you leave Korthos, bind at a tavern so if you die, you don't end up on the winter side again.
The reason for the light and dark side of Korthos was to keep Winter as the new player learning ground. It really is your tutor area.
You can delete and re roll if you want. That is up to you. You wont' have lost anything at this point. Know knowing what you do about Korthos, you, your son, and your friend could start over and stick together without confusion this way. It is also the ideal time to fix issues with your build stats as well now that you've started to see how the game is. (if you feel your builds have issues.)

Thanks for the advice was unaware of the Korthos issue. I'll just run though it all with both toons (one with the group the other on his own) and see if this will fix the issue after that.
Thanks again, Sab
