View Full Version : What's with demon queen flagging on elite?

The last few times I jumped in a dq1/dq2 flagging run, the leader opens up on elite for dq1.

Favor, better loot, challenge, and other reasons are always given.

Well, don't say 'quick flag' if your real reason is one of the above.

Flaggin' bites and no reason to run it above casual as the favor is not needed, the loot lows anyway, the only challenge is time, and any other reason is purely aesthetic.


Even seen experienced people, who already have the favor, don't need the loot, and at 20th level it is not a challenge.

it just takes that much longer to bang through the quest...why bother? why?

no reason. annoying.

If I was running waterworks on a 20th level character for the bracers, I'd run it on elite. Mostly because even though I'm "just flagging" I do want some challenge...... at least I'd rather not one shot eveything if possible. Cant speak for everyone else but dont like running casual or a quest thats super easy even on elite on anything less than elite.

When flagging for the queen I will run the quests on normal or hard if solo.

I would rather one shot it all in a quick run.

By one shot, I mean run to the end of the hall, and hit my cleave, once. Rinse, repeat.

When a melee is high enough level with end game items he can just beat on the demon queen in the flag quest anyhow, which isnt even a challenge.

Might i suggest...stick up your own LFM than its a lot harder to blame the leader.

Not sayin its right to mislead people...just sayin..when you lead you decide...course you knew that and just wanted to rant... :) which is nice but still boils down to you complaining about how somebody else leads THEIR group. You can always drop ya know.

well, they were not flagging for epic.
they all took a lot longer due to the pugs in it.

I would rather do the raid then spend one second longer in a flag for any reason at all.

thats like flagging for the old von series...hey, let's do elite so we take much longer...lol

The challenge went out like 2 years ago for the demon flag for me....

That quest isn't a pushover on elite even at level 20, at least not in a PUG. It is, however, pretty solid XP even at level 15-18.

Run Casual unless you need to flag for Epic, or are chasing XP.

and I guess it would be the same logic as some of the posters to run von 1-4 on elite to flag...and von 5 on elite to get to von 6? Does not make sense.

hey, lets run twilight forge elite to get to the titan..lol.

You get it done fast to do the raid....at least when you have been playing for a long time. That quest, dq1, is not a challange, it is a chore.

I wont run Casual even on a "Quick Flag" run. Normal is pathetically easy enough. I dont want to catch casual cooties or something worse....

actually, mistake...demon queen is pre raid and has no casual setting....

Weather its trying to beat street fighter 2 on one quarter, or running every quest on elite, some people like a challenge. I dont see the issue here.

leader of group 1: "hey, we are waiting on your for DQ2, hurry up and do DQ1 will ya"

leader group 2: "okay, but we are gonna do it on the hardest setting possible, hope you do not mind waiting"

leader of group 1: "why are you making us all wait, we wanna get this DQ2 done, do it on norm and just bang it out"

leader group 2: "but we want the challenge. I am sure all 6 of you do not mind waiting the extra time it may take to complete it. Don't want to waste an opportunity to get bad loot on elite from the DQ1 pre raid."

<after some time>

leader group 2: "hey, we just finished, coming"

leader group 1: "we did the raid, on elite, shortmanned. We were done 10 minutes ago. Doing reaver now. Sorry, hope you enjoyed the challenge."

leader group 2: "whargarrbl, well, I'll start my own group, a couple of us have to go soon, we should fill up fast"

Leader group 3: "hey, we just gotta flag dq1 first, be right there"

leader group 2: "what's taking so long, we are running out of time"

leader group 3: "it's more a challenge to do it on elite. Trying to hurry"

2 group members of group 2 have to leave as it took longer for the group to do DQ1 elite then it does for the raid on elite...they did not have time to wait.
