Duoed through von 1 on normal with to melee types with no problem till the end. Has the boss troll always spammed irresistible Dance? Got close a couple of times to killing him but then he would go on spree of dancing us both. Been so long I honestly can not remember if he always cast that spell on normal.

He has always done it as a special attack, but I have not seen it as a spam attack. If he did it with the triple-hit charge attack that trolls and ogres do (but my fighter can't! **** u DDO!) then its possible that all 3 attacks counted as a single attack for the purposes of applying the effect--Kind of like a smite with a 2weapon paladin gets applied to both weapons simultaneously.

By spam I mean he will cast it when you are close proximity of him. I was trying to avoid it at one point by kiting him but on one pass got to close and ended up dancing then as well heh.

I've had him do this to me before while soloing. He's cast it, and about 2-3 seconds before it wore off he'd cast it again.

I tend to be laid back and not worry about things in this game, but that was the time my monitor nearly went out the window. :mad:

I read somewhere that it would not trigger on you if you had full fortification but I did not test that myself yet. The last characters I took through either had 75% fortification (low level melee), or killed Deadheart without getting struck in melee (high level caster).

What I used to get past him on a solo melee was the Mantle of the Worldshaper cloak from Threnal combined with enough DPS to kill him before the 5 charges ran out.
Take care not to wear the cloak through the bulk of the dungeon since it only recharges 1 out of 5 charges per rest!

Yeah had the cloak on but think charges burned out super quick with him casting curse and dance. Just think it odd that a CR10 (I believe he was) is casting that spell. Was also wearing mod fort.
