I was wondering if I could get some opinions on my build. My guy is level 2 already so his base stats are already set.

Usually when people ask for opinions they say what they're going for and plan it all the way to level 20...

Sorry, I'm going for a tanking build with maximum Intimidate.

Ha ha, it would help if you posted past level 1.... There isn't much to review.

Do you want a Two Weapon Fighting or Two Handed Fighting build?

Grrr, sorry about that. I thought I had.

IMO: Asketes has one of the best Defender/Intimitank build around
His thread Permanator: Stalwart Defender DPS INTIMITANK (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=180879) is definitely worth a read.

No, I will be sword and board all the way.

Hhmmmm.... m...k then.
Currently the DPS on Shield wielding fighters us woefully poor. So the ability to switch back and forth is powerful.
Read Asketes' build, he built in the ability to have Two Weapons, but also the ability to switch to a shield...... at level 20 he used a shield less then 10% of the time

How is threat handled in the game? Is threat equal to damage done only outside of Intimidate? If that's the case is two weapon or two handed weapon better for damage dealt?

If it sees you first, it'll attack you.
If it hasn't seen anyone and you hit it, it'll attack you.
If you deal lots of damage to it, it'll attack you.
If you (successfully) Intimidate, it'll attack you (for 6 seconds at least).

Outside of Intimidate (and it's opposite equivalent, Diplomacy), DPS basically dictates what attacks you (barring the timing thing above). Two Handers tend to make more things angry at once, while Two Handed Fighting generally comes out on top for single-target DPS.

A Barbarian will likely be "tanking" trash mobs in the sense that he has made lots of things angry at him with his Two Hander. A Two Weapon fighter can also be "tanking" a boss as he does concentrated and/or burst DPS to it.

So I'm thinking that two weapon fighting will be optimal for me as I'm sure I'll be trying to get the best main hand weapon possible for use when I've got a shield equipped. That same weapon could then be used in a two weapon setup as well.
