Loot Drop Rate Census

Hey, a few days ago I asked what effect difficulty has on the drop rate of named items in quests and raids. The basic answer as far as I could tell was, it depends of the quest or raid, usually no effects for normal quests, and raids varying from 1 in 6 to 1 in 4, but not for all raids.

What I'd like to do is ask for people to reply with info from their raids so I can add it up and see if it really is worth the time to run whichever raid at a higher difficulty. I'd also like to include the Mindsunder quest, as some people say that certain items only drop on the higher diffs.

I'd like replies to have he raid and difficulty, how many people looted the chest, what named loot dropped, and so's I don't count the same runs twice, the leader name and date of raid.

To have a 95% chance of being within 5% of correct your sample size would have to approach 2000. You would also have to assume that people who get 0, 1, 2, 3, .... 12 drops will all be equally motivated to report, which they may not be, and it assumes no lies. In otherwords, whatever you get here will be non representative.

Does the ending I choose in GP affect the drop rate? I've heard Knosts drops mostly from the portal room. is this true?

Lorien, I don't think that it'd be as hard as you make it out to be. First, I don't need to find exact percentages, just a general trend that one difficulty give more loot (or not).

Also 2000 data points wouldn't be 2000 raids, but 2000 times the chest gets looted, important since most raids are 12 manned. And I'm asking anyone who happens to read the forum post, so if enough people reply, it shouldn't take that long to get a general results.

And yes, I would expect anyone interested enough in the drop rates enough to help out and pm me, to not lie and report whatever results they get.

Ran VoD normal with 9 people and got 2 items
