My 2nd ever rant..

Ok now I'm frustrated.. I make a new toon in hopes to grind that last bit of favor for getting gianthold, than my guild mates tells me to jump on my main and come do the Desert (180 min guess pass). I get there 30mins pass before all the afks stop happening, spent another 30min doing slayer rares, than we did some short quest (on causal...grrr). than we go back to town waits 20 more mins for a new healer than we go for some crazy quest that has insta respawned wiped, healer quits, than they sit and talk about going to GH, burning more time.. in 3hrs I got 3k xp.. that ****ing p*sses me off so bad... in that 3 hours I could have had that new toon close to lvl 5 working down that favor I need to get GH... what a waste of my time...

You don't have to do what your guild mates tell you to do... for 1.

Secondly, if you don't like what's happening with your guildmates, get out of that guild.

Guilds can be great if you find the right fit, but in the end, you have to take responsibility for what happens to you.

Took me 4 guilds to figure out what I wanted, in the end, I made my own and partnered up with a few people that are very similar.

I'd have said something. You know, like, "Guys this is fun and all, but I'd really like to get my last bit of rep for Gianthold and this isn't helping." Or, "Casual? Dude, we can do better than that!" Or, "One hour left on my guest pass. Let's not waste it." Something. Anything. Some of you folks are far too nice to your friends, I swear.

Seriously, run amok and kill stuff. Same thing you do in any slayer zone. You wouldn't have gotten favor out of it, but you'd at least have gotten xp.

In my guild, when we guest pass someone we try and grind as much favor/xp out of that area while their pass is active. Sometimes tho, as we all know, real life becons and we must heed the call. Usually the person with the guest pass will log out with that toon, saving their timer until we can all get back on the grind.

Might not help in all situations, but keep it in mind. There's a good guild out there for you. It may be the one your in, you just had a bad run that time. I too had to try several guilds before I found one I loved. Some people prefer not to be in guilds to free themselves up to run what they want with who they want. Do whats right for you first and foremost- its your time and you should be enjoying it.

More ranting type situations will occur, just try and not let it spoil your sleep! Nothing beats a deskclearing Hound wipe at 3a.m.!!! uGh!
