I suggest you put some time into quality improvements instead of childish easter egg hunts and wowlike candycane magic ice skates. Here's a partial list:
-- Trap spot DC's are broken. Anyone with any spot skill can spot traps below DC 20.
-- Ranged Exploit. No further comment.
-- Crowd Controlled mobs are once again moving around. Four years of this bug popping up?
-- Human type enemies move at ridiculous speeds. All the player type race enemy mobs.
-- Blank quest log. What a pain this is sometimes when it hits your character three or four times in a row.
-- Spells "white out" on the hot bar when switched out. This makes swithching spells more maintenance then it used to be.
-- Pets aggro from very long range. Mobs aggro on pets from much greater distance than they are supposed to.
There's more, but my point is, quit letting the quality go in the crapper.

That is likely working right due to a mix of DDO house rules on the spot skill (spot is used to initally detect a trap is nearby) and "as per the book" due to how the feat Trapfinding (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/classes/rogue.htm#trapfinding) works. Trapfinding only limits traps with Search (and Spot for DDO) DCs of 20+ to the realm of Rogue only.

The root issues were never actually cleared, which is when certain segments of AI granted from crowd control states improperly place themselves over the segments of AI that should be working. A common one is how blindness' crazy movement AI overrides the "no movement" AI of things like Paralysis and Petrification.
I'm there with ya in wanting this to be corrected, but I do go into the minority of empathizing that some issues are low priority and/or not as easy to fix as we may think depending on how their systems are set.

A new bug that cropped up within a recent update. However, if you have a greyed-out spell memorized and click the greyed-out version, it will correct itself without needing to redo the hotbars. The workaround should save you at least a bit of sanity.

Wow, I just saw a very similar post to this one on the DDO General Discussion forum

Stop being so reasonable and informative Cow.

Maybe I didn't explain this well enough. Any character with spot skill of at least 1 can now spot any trap with DC < 20. That is a change and not how it's supposed to work in DDO. Just like the search DC, traps have varying spot DCs.
Trap spot DCs hit the 20 level somewhere around dungeon level 8 on hard or 7 elite. The implication here is, any character with at least spot = 1, spots every trap until they reach those levels.
It's also possible the higher level traps are broken too. It may be that any rogue with spot = 1 (or maybe spot = 20?) is able to spot any trap in the game. I don't have capped characters but someone could easily test.
I understand in the "normal" game, most don't put points into spot. However in permadeath play we do. This is another fun part of the game that has been destroyed. Strategic opportunity lost.

Totally with you. This is what wound me up more than anything when Heroic Surge was discussed as well (and
DA to a lesser extent). I'd like an update which just contains fixes for bugs.

I went out to verify this (being I've been playing high spot characters lately) and agree that this bug exists. It was introduced during one of the more recent updates as in this picture (http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a74/Ukenburger/Forum/ScreenShot00469.jpg) taken minutes ago shows someone with a Spot of 2 detecting the traps in Prison of the Mind, while my Wizard from the Diaries of a True Reincarnate with a spot of ~11 could not find them (video segment (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTy-gzdZyWc) 2:42) and it was taken about 3 weeks ago.
