Howdy all...I'm a returning player from back in the day and was looking for a guild I would fit well with, but there seem to be an overabundance of guilds, and I have yet to find one with a description that screams "I fit perfectly!" I thought I'd post this to ask any of ye guildies what ye think...

Anyways, first, I need to point out that I've played off and on from the beginning...even in Beta, but not soon enough to get Founder status. Problem is, I'm a fairly casual player, which is why my highest level toon is Lv11. (that and my hiatus...I left when they had JUST raised the cap to 14) Between that and the fact that I tend to play either solo or duo with my wife, I would consider myself fairly n00bish, though I DO learn quickly and listen well, and I have basic D&D, DDO, and MMO sense.(which I'd equate to common sense in said situations) Being casual, I often don't like to spend tons of time LFG or LFM, and I've had bad experiences with PUGs...like everyone. ;)

Well, I'd be hoping to find a guild that is a little more laid back, and more willing to deal with sub-optimal players and builds. Not total gimps, or bad players, mind you...just not the type of guild that needs to say WE ARE TEH BEST THERE IS!!!! I try to make my characters well, and playing solo alot makes me somewhat self-sufficient, so I would hope my builds are decent, but I'd hate for someone to look at my Ftr/Barb and chastise me for not going one way or the other.

I also tend to like a guild that has at least some RP. Basically, I think I'm looking for a light-RP guild that does not mind dealing with someone who needs to learn group tactics, and does not do everything just to be Uber, but who would be happy to have a new guy every once in a while take place in a quest or a raid, while holding his hand for a little bit, but not expecting him to be on every day.

Oh, and it sounds like I should point out that when I quest, I like to always go for every optional/breakable...I always feel like I'm leaving something out if I don't. In my mind, the only speed runs should be favor runs on Elite.

Well, thanks for reading my dissertation, and thanks in advance for any help! ;)

Yeah, I'm gonna go and say that I wouldn't fit based on their description... :p

Any other ideas?

I'm glad you caught his humor ;) lol.

As far as guilds recruiting..I often see posts in here on the forums for recruiting....hopefully someone will see your post and approach you :). Or....by running around pugging will give you the chance to run with many guilds until you find one that suits you best. Good luck!

Hmm...very intriguing. Sounds pretty good overall. I'll have to get one of my toons to go on a trial. Thanks! :D

Ekke Ekke is a very social based guild, players ranging in every experience level, class, time in game, etc. Most of us are 21+. We play in every level range (especially with TR in full swing). THe only requirement is that you run with an officer before admission, but there's usually at least one of us on in different parts of the day, most being that 6-10 p.m. range.

I've seemed to notice recurring guilds more and more now that I've hit Gianthold. It seems like that's the place where you start to notice the good guilds, instead of the abundance of lower guilds.
Just to name a few that might be worth looking into, or at least, that I've partied with and liked:
Alpha
C.L.A.W.
Order of the Sword and Rose

I've had good experiences with all 3, and I've been fortunate enough to fill up an open PuG spot in some runs with them.

Thanks for all the responses...I'm giving Madborn a try, since they seem like good peoples, and they sound like a really good fit right now. Thanks again, and good gaming!
