Howdy all...I'm a returning player from back in the day and was looking for a guild I would fit well with, but there seem to be an overabundance of guilds, and I have yet to find one with a description that screams "I fit perfectly!" I thought I'd post this to ask any of ye guildies what ye think...
Anyways, first, I need to point out that I've played off and on from the beginning...even in Beta, but not soon enough to get Founder status. Problem is, I'm a fairly casual player, which is why my highest level toon is Lv11. (that and my hiatus...I left when they had JUST raised the cap to 14) Between that and the fact that I tend to play either solo or duo with my wife, I would consider myself fairly n00bish, though I DO learn quickly and listen well, and I have basic D&D, DDO, and MMO sense.(which I'd equate to common sense in said situations) Being casual, I often don't like to spend tons of time LFG or LFM, and I've had bad experiences with PUGs...like everyone. ;)
Well, I'd be hoping to find a guild that is a little more laid back, and more willing to deal with sub-optimal players and builds. Not total gimps, or bad players, mind you...just not the type of guild that needs to say WE ARE TEH BEST THERE IS!!!! I try to make my characters well, and playing solo alot makes me somewhat self-sufficient, so I would hope my builds are decent, but I'd hate for someone to look at my Ftr/Barb and chastise me for not going one way or the other.
I also tend to like a guild that has at least some RP. Basically, I think I'm looking for a light-RP guild that does not mind dealing with someone who needs to learn group tactics, and does not do everything just to be Uber, but who would be happy to have a new guy every once in a while take place in a quest or a raid, while holding his hand for a little bit, but not expecting him to be on every day.
Oh, and it sounds like I should point out that when I quest, I like to always go for every optional/breakable...I always feel like I'm leaving something out if I don't. In my mind, the only speed runs should be favor runs on Elite.
Well, thanks for reading my dissertation, and thanks in advance for any help! ;)
