Trying to work out Egg Reward Formula while I make an absolute mess of my own thread.....


Backley's Postulate seems more correct than my original so I am updating.

If(Blessing), then

Reward=random DDO store item (Not sure this is random but really some finite list)
Evidence:

Stats for my 16 characters all level 18-20:

8 teleport rods
5 2x medium xp elixers
3 greater rez cakes

else

Reward Loot Level = (Character Level) +/- (Aura Level)
where:

Lesser Aura = -2
Greater Aura = -1
Major Aura = +1
Ultimate Aura = Random Bonus +1 thru Max

Notes:

There is also some method of random distribution such that Reward Loot Level is a bell shape curve with the apex /midpoint at the Reward Loot Level. Its seems you will most likely get a reward within a few levels of the Loot Level, but there can be rare instances of extremes, particularly upward. Haven't seen a case of a high level character achieving Ultimate and receiving a masterwork Longsword or anything.

It is definitely level based (younger character receive worse loot). Only buy tickets with you oldest character capable of reaching Ultimate Aura.

Any two cents or field evidence would be appreciated. List of DDO store rewards received by large families would help figure out the reward set list and distribution.

Level certainly makes no difference for the ultimates... got teleport sticks on 2 characters, 2x medium exp elixirs on 2 others (all various low-mid levels), and just popped a +3 lesser hear of wood on a level 1 mule (unbound thankfully).

Wouldn't want to test it since it would be a waste, but Aura level probably affects Blessed rewards, possibly by changing the finite list.

Reward=random selection from DDO store item list X
where
if(Aura III), X={some list A}
if(Aura IV), X={some list B, possibly containing list A}
if(Aura V), X={some list C, possibly containing list A+B}

Could age of toon possibl effect it? Then if u filled up your account with toons last year vs days old

For blessing rewards, probably not. One of my toons I made yesterday on Cannith has been the only character of mine thus far to pull a Lesser Heart +3...and I don't play on that server normally >.>

So far rewards I've got are 17 Rods of Teleport, 4 Medium Exp Elixirs(x2), 1 +3 Lesser Heart. Have 10 more blessings to do.
