Can I upgrade before I log on to get the extra coins?

Free to play get 5 traveller coins. VIP get 15 traveler coins per character.

Are traveler coins bound at all?

How much does it cost to buy travller coins in the ddo store?

If I upgrade to VIP now before I log in post-patch, will I get 5 coins per character or 15 coins per character?

I am not sure about all of the questions, but as far as the upgrading question, it specifically states characters made before 2/18/10.

The stuff is probably already in your pack as I type this, even though servers are inaccessible.

Whoops, guess Turbine could have made the announcement earlier, if they'd realise it would be enough to convince some people to upgrade their account ... :D

I would never bad mouth you dredre - you rock.

I suspect the earlier poster is correct that these coins have already been assigned to our accounts so it doesn't matter if I upgrade or not. Plus I realized I am "premium" so the difference is only 5 coins per character.

SO I am going to let it ride.

i still believe the downtime is when they get added to our bags.... like any other mmo... cant be swapping my gear around when im logged in :)

That is what was done in the past. I expect the patch process today ends with a query that add them to the bags before things go live.
