If 'my' character's packs are full (you know, with all those festivault cookies and regular weapons/armor/gear stuff I store on characters.....) Will the 'gift' go to the character's personal bank? OR...should I just make room?

I'm also guessing that the 'gift' will be bound to the character, safe assumption?

Guess that is actually 2 questions....

Indeed. I don't think so however with it being one per character there's any chance in heck they'd do it. Turbine just wouldn't throw that much $ away. Dragonshard changes, changing banked past-Festivault Rez cakes so that you can only get them now with TP, the high cost of the lesser hearts currently available, etc, etc means there will be no freebies that go against this trend of forcing players to burn TP for every little thing.

Honestly I think they should give one GR+3 Heart per account (not char) bound-to-account, that's not at all unreasonable. Surely make a ton of us VIP vets feel slightly better for all the old characters we made before various game changes made them sub-optimal...

Yes, all characters that exist will receive the gift. We just want to make sure that if you want to make new characters, you do so. :)

I came back from a very long break recently and had cakes on all of my characters (including completely broken builds, mules, etc). Since those cakes are essentially wasted by being on those characters, I used them to make hams. Now i have a nice collection of them for my next set of chars. I also used one cake to rain ham in the harbor just for the amusement factor and to give the lowbies a chance at getting something modestly useful. So for a level 1 mule, 50 ham >> +1 tome. :)

As for what they're giving this year, I would have liked 500 free TPs. But since it's on a character by character basis, it obviously won't be that.

Yeah, I just used one yesterday. The character didn't really need anything from it, so never used it. But since it was taking up space, I did a +1 to a near-useless stat.

Speaking of taking up space, more inventory or at least bank slots would be The Best Birthday Present Evar.
