Typically in politics, touchy issues aren't directly answered/addressed unless enough people cause a big enough commotion. Usually a big part of the aforementioned commotion is all of the conspiracy theories as to why something might or might not have happened.

So, what are some of your theories as to WHY Greater Reincarnation was given to us then ripped from our grasp at the last minute?

A member of GAFTC (gaming and fun times commission) stopped by the Turbine HQ, and delivered the following message:

"Greetings denizens of Turbine. I come to you in this time of economic downturn with this grave message. If you release this 'greater reincarnation,' which promises to allow players to more enjoy the game; a terrible event is to transpire."

He continued, "In the year 1983, a prediction was made that in the year following the death of the final creator of Dungeons and Dragons, there would be a relatively popular entertaining diversion (as they were known at the time) that will release and 'update,' said update will cause an international fall-out and lead to global war."

He concluded his dire warning by saying, "This war will end humanity within 2 and a half years, and can only be prevented by an arbitrary postponal of the planned 'update. This, gentleman (and Tolero), is why I'm here today. I am beseeching you to roll a d20 on a compassion/empathy check in order to further the mission of Good Alignment everywhere."

Upon finishing, a crackling noise was heard as he disappeared into a purplish bit of lightning.

Summary: Update 3 would have made gaming so enjoyable that non DDO enabled countries would have declared war upon us privileged by its presence. The only way to avoid this fate was to delay its implementation.

Thank you Turbine, for keeping us all alive and preventing the 2012 apocalypse.

For the last time, Greater Reincarnate was RELEASED in Update 3 !!!

(and by enjoy I mean pretend to enjoy since you can't use it).

My guess is since lesser is in game and working it means its not a technical issue holding back greater. Its a marketing issue turbine can more easily sell a lesser and a greater to the same character if the hold off adding greaters to the store until sales of lessers slow down.

I expect we will see greater reincarnation in the ddo store about a week after sales of lessers slow down.

The devs all are from Xoriat so they of course all hate us and do everything they can to make us hate them.

Plus they hate the game and want it to die, just because.

Did you know that they actually finished Druid and Half Orc but didn't release them just because they were mean?

They are also mean and selfish and because of that they want us all to quit. If they get us all to quit they will all get laid off and in their state there are really generous employment insurance payouts.
