Wooohoo! That was Awesome! Can't even remember the last time i had this much fun!
We didnt know what to expect, almost wiped half a dozen times, got our asses kicked up and down and around, had to stick together and Think, i Said Think!

Items broke at the end, had to make do, if it wasnt for all the CC, the Webs, the Disco balls, the irresistible dances, we would never get as far as we did. At that last run, with the timer, avoiding traps that could destroy anything on a single hit, we had to leave some people behind, DA was the worst enemy, and then, only 2 people made it. They were the only ones who got the chest, and none of them got a dungeon token, that ending was frustrating, but next time we wil be prepared for it. Lots of Jumpy Training is necessary to peg this down.

2Hours to complete, only drop we got was a scroll for the docent of grace, which dropped from an enemy, if we weren't paying attention we could easily have missed it!

BUT IT WAS AWESOME!
I'll be sure to be sending a whole lot of pots to our cleric though.
and trying to get some better gear too.

Seriously, Epic is the Best!
It reminds me when i was fresh, soloing quests with my 1st character, with brand new eyes completely untarnished by the grind, devising strategies upon strategies to survive, taking as **** long as I well pleased.

No one saying, "omg, you took 5 retries and 2 hours to do the Pit? Thats just not worth it! not even a muckdoom drop?"

The best part, was having fun with my guildies, relying on each other for everything, teamwork was absolutely Necessary, and i felt like i was truly contributing to everyone's success! This was even better than soloing quests for the 1st time.

Seriously guys, save all your money, all your pots, bring out all your best gear and waste your time on Epic Quests.
This is what we have been hoarding all this virtual stuff for!

That was exactly how I felt the first time I beat Epic Offering of Blood. Brutally tough, resource intensive, but a total blast. So much fun!

Also got the same feeling from the first time beating A New Invasion (normal, we were mostly 16-18 and it was day 1 after Amrath launched so noone knew it), and after my first 'successful' VoD.

When the lvl 20 rogue with bardsongs, GH, and even Prayer could not find the traps, i knew what the rest of the quest would be like.

This is the Real feeling of D&D. THis must be what Permadeathers feel like, when you have to act like a PD to Not Wipe, the game has a real change of pace.

Having to avoid the traps with skill and Timing, was an awesome feeling too. By the end, i didnt eve care if we were leaving a chest or two behind, i just wanted to get out of the quest in one piece.

Everytime there was more than a couple of enemies i felt like we were in trouble, when there was 1 caster, spamming walls of fire, polar rays, force missiles, it was bad enough, when there were 2 casters it was a real hell. We had to pull them out carefully all the time. When we encoutered the iron golems the 1st time, i was sure we were gonna die.

Turbine Should Add a special set of Scaling Rules and unlock Epic for all Levels, we shouldnt have to wait till level 20 to get this feeling of True DDO. Obviously epic tokens and crafting stuff drops should only be available on lvl 20, but even if there were only some beefed up loot tables with normal drops and a small increase in XP i am absolutely positive that a lot of people would play them, with no regards for speed or resources whatsoever.

this is what is used to be like when we were just starting out, on these same quests.

remember how crazy and lost you got when you did that first run up to the end...or how you got stuck because you could not jump up the hole that first time?

Offering of blood, first time, we must have killed a ton of mobs in the first room before someone said 'hey they just keep respawning, maybe we should go in that doorway?'

Using old methods like shield block and firewall....?

Just like the old days...something many are not used too, which can cause huge resource drains trying to remember...lol.... Just like the old days.
