do the odds change for player A when it comes to getting named items
when hes solo or when hes in a group?

obviously in a group, the odds are higher in general,
but only looking at player A, does it change as more ppl join player A?
also, does doin a quest at a higher diff have an effect on named items?
higher spawn rate? asking because i notice no difference
any reason or rhym to any of this?

From what I understand, explorer zones are different from quests when it comes to loot mechanics and drop rates. Don't quote me on it, as it has been some time since a dev has commented on the mechanic.

I think I remember reading that the drop rates for named items increase in explorer areas if you have a full party. This was used to discourage casters from being able to solo loot run, leaving melee types behind. Again don't quote, maybe a dev can verify.

I believe a full party as well as difficulty setting increases chance of loot in raids (not sure about Tempest Spine). At least I think it was supposed to be implemented but from what I understand it doesn't work properly or didnt make it in. Again, not entirely sure.

As far as standard questing, the only thing that affects your loot is the level of the quest compared to the level of the party, not necessarily the number in the party. And I believe this only affects the level of loot and not named loot percentages.

I hope this helps and I wish I could link you to some dev posts but this topic has been a little wishwashy for years with no real concise answer from any particluar dev from what I can recall.

Because the devs think that keeping this information close to the chest makes the game VAST AND MYSTERIOUS.

yea, but if you look at it from another side
you could say some mechanics are rigged and trecherous
