Ran VoN1 today and finished the final fight. As often happens with this broken quest, one mob was missing and would not let us complete. We put in a ticket.

38 minutes later: GM responds and asks what the problem is. We explain. He says "one moment."
21 minutes later: GM says "I'm completing the quest for you."
8 minutes later: GM says "Gather your party in the arena." We do.
11 minutes later: GM says "Get ready, mobs may pawn at any time." We are ready.
9 minutes later: GM says "Sorry, can't reset. You'll have to start over."

I'd stay away from VoN1 Epic.

Er?

I've never found that guy to be "missing", he just gets stuck on a door. In my experience if you go look for him, you'll find him.

you do know that the 1 missing mob is just stuck in his room.. if you go down the passage to the right of the axe and go to the door, he will open his door to come get you.

Yeah, one of the ogres always runs late, but can often be found in his cave after everything else is dead.

With over an hour to wait for a GM, we scoured every square inch of the quest. We had swung weapons, had summons, blasted every corner with AOE spells, and climbed everywhere you can climb.

The monster was not in and accessible part of the dungeon.

Usually the mob that is missing is an ogre. Go down into their room and go taunt him a little (a little halfling dance near his door usually does the trick. It proves that ogres are intelligent as they hate halflings), he will come through the back door and gladly attack.

I've had this happen to me many times... I usualyl find the missing guy if I run into each room all the way to the gate, run around a few times and then back into the arena. AOE's in each room help to find them as well... It seems they get stuck in the room prior to were you can fight them. I have never faled to get them to spawn eventualyl though. Run in and out opening and closing each ready room gate a couple times, tab and listen for what mob it is that's missing.

I think you're all confusing the standard "hidden ogre" bug from non-epic runs. That bug prevents the quest from advance from one wave of attackers to the next and is easily remedied by finding the hidden ogre. You can't get to the second wave of attackers until you find him and kill him.

This bug is different in that it allows the quest to continue and all the final waves, including the three named bosses, to spawn.

We killed the troll, his sidekick, and Grogan but the quest still showed us needing to kill one member of the final wave.

When this happens, it's usually a mephit that was spawned by the mephits from the fight. They tend to go invisible and run away somewhere. I've found that standing still for a while sometimes (but not always) will draw him out of hiding.

If the quest won't advance, it's the ogre in the other room... but if the quest continues advancing while still saying you need to kill one, it's a spawned mephit floating around somewhere (and he can be *really* hard to find sometimes).

I had this same problem happen.
It was one thing from wave two that wouldn't count as killed, we killed wave 3, and all that other stuff. We then swung our swords at literally every square inch of the entire dungeon, and then sat in the arena another half hour waiting for the GM (also while running around swinging our swords at all the cubbies again.)
We got a GM. He tried to finish the quest and couldn't (spawned more mephits and killed them, etc)
He then said he couldn't do anything, so we escalated it to a senior GM, another half hour to 45 minute wait, with more swinging in every corner, nook, and cranny. The senior GM ran around a bit, and said he couldn't do anything and that we were stuck.
Despite there being literally nothing left in the dungeon alive, they couldn't/wouldn't give us even the tokens, so we were out all the time, and all the pots, and resources, and repair bills, with absolutely nothing to show for it.
It was my second run on epic in that quest, the first one went fine with almost no resource expenditure, and completed fine. This one for some reason bugged out in a very evil way, and there was just no completing it.
I am never running this on epic again probably, cause its too much of a pain if it does bug, especially now that someone else has reported the same issue.

von2 is buggy too. I had an experience that we picked up four items but the quest objective is not updated and we cannot turn in the items. as expected, DM won't help.

yeah this problem comes up on epic as well as other difficulties. i've experienced it sveral times and the minotaur was nowhere to be found at all.

had a gm try to help and the minotaur spawned shortly after the gm's greeting. turns out we didnt get ny help from the gm, however waiting 20 minutes for something to spawn that should have spawned is annoying.

We were waiting well over an hour.

Stay away from VoN, period until they get it fixed.

Had the same thing happen on VoN2 and the raid. Finished. Completed quest objectives. GM contacted. Same answer.

ETA: Even though I'm frustrated on losing out on the time and XP, props to Turbine service for responding to out ticket within 5 minutes both times. Both GMs were exceptionally polite and apologetic.

Perhaps it is and perhaps it isn't... I'm betting it's the same bug.... If it happens again try waht I said.... Oh and make sure you put on your listen item and get that up to a 50 or so..... No listen skill you say = Epic fail :D

Could not complete von2 a couple of days ago because the quest did not acknowledge we had all the items. Overall these quests have been buggy. I wonder how soon it will be until we get a hotfix.

Same with Von2.

However, I'm not going to stay away because I think they're alot of fun (and I think the scaling is much better than the epic deserts because the quests range from challenging->nearly impossible in Epic Von but they all require planning and teamwork at level 20 which is what they were designed for).

I've currently failed Von1, Von2, and Von 4. I've also completed them all after the first failure. These epic quests just make me really really excited for GH epic (epic madstone boots, epic crystalline scepter, and epic Jorgundal's collar are especially exciting). Till then I shall run all the vons for tokens (though I will run 3, 4, and 5 markedly less than the rest).
