I'm still on my Paladin, and he's quite nice, except the lack of Constitution. He has 22 strenght ( with items and stuff ) but only 15 constitution ( And 15 wis... I was a Truthbringer first, but I went custom, that's why I have so much wisdom ). If I put some points in constitution, will my build be a failure ? I'd like to tank a bit, but I don't wanna be a Failadin.

Advices ?

It's hard to comment on stated ability scores without some item and level context...or just noting what you started with base and where you put level ups.

Oh, you're right.

Strength : 18 base +4 enchanted = 22
Dex : 10
Constitition : 13 base +1inherent +1feat = 15
Int 8.
Wisdom 14 +1. =15
Cha 14 +1feat +2enchanted. = 17

13 starting CON isn't all that bad.

Could be better.

So, what should I level ?

Strength. Since you spent so many build points there it's the only thing that makes sense.

Means training Con would ruin my build, and that I'll be unable to tank forever ?

You don't gain a whole lot from putting level ups into CON.

Since you spent a lot of stat points to get STR up to 18 from the start putting level ups there makes sense. If you raise STR to 18 from the start then spend level ups elsewhere, you would've been better off raising that other stat with the 6 stat build points you used on STR (and then having a few leftover for another stat) then putting those level ups into STR instead.

e.g.

STR 18 = 16 build points + 3 level ups = 21 STR
CON 14 = 6 build points + 2 level ups = 16 CON
CHA 14 = 6 build points
...vs...
STR 16 = 10 build points + 5 level ups = 21 STR
CON 16 = 10 build points
CHA 15 = 8 build points

You wind up with the same 21 STR, 16 CON but with a higher CHA by just changing what you start and you level ups.

Yes it would kinda mess up your build, but it doesn't mean you can't tank. 13 base isn't that bad. What matters most to tank is your AC, so going Defender of Siberys and getting all the required gear is what will get you there if you want to tank.

Don't stress the 13 con, really. Once you get up to level for it you can eat a +1/2/3 tome and get a nice bump there, plus use a +6 con item. That combined with HP items and you can get your HP's up into a comfortable range were you won't drop left and right.

It is unlikely you will tank with out having massive ACs since you won't have the 600+ HP's some builds have but if you go with Defender of Sybris (SIC?) and grind out all the gear for it you should in theory beable to get a respectable AC, that is if you have 13 intel, or can get a tome to get you to 13 Intel, and thus pick up combat expertise (Almost a required feat for those that want to tank).

I'd wager you are currently tho more focused on Two handed weapons, which, with the build the way it is, I would be willing to say that you would be best served by simply focusing on swinging that big ole beast as best as you can. If you really want a tank, level this character up, learn more about the high end stuff were tanking is needed and what type of tanks are needed for it, and then make an alt using your higher level to help supply gear so your leveling will be much less painless.

Oh, and as an example about the con thing, my own paladin, a Drow, started with only 12 con and is sitting at 412 HP unbuffed right now just with her normal gear. Granted I'm missing, ummm... 20... 10... 10.... 45 so 75 HP in gear and favor rewards right now. Some I don't have access to due to being F2P (Minos helm) and since I don't Giant Hold I am unsure if I can get enough favor for the 10 draconic vitality from Argo favor just off Reavers Reach.

So yea, if I, with limited resources, and get up over 400 HP and still have room to grow, namely another 45 from GS and 10 from a +30 false life item (using dusk heart atm) then your 13 will be fine.

So the point is, keep lvling strenght, but boost Con with items ?
