Pale Master belt/ring Nerf?

As of a few days ago the description for the Pale Master belt/ring combo was 200% damage with necro spells. I read it last night on wiki......now it is 30%/60%? I sure hope that is a mistake. All those people who got the belt/ring combo for the 200% just got hosed. I know TB loves to Nerf things for sh** and giggles but that is pretty low.
Considering the items are only for ONE school of spell (Necro) it is already limited as is. Not many Necro spells that do damage so it kind pointless to Nerf it even more then the limited powers it has already. Would love to know who's bright idea it was to do this if its true. Pale masters themselves takes some feat hits and limited powers at that...now you are changing a item on them? Pretty dirty if you ask me :)

Think of it this way Turbine is just trying to make sure as few people as possible make the mistake of making a Pale Master while still being able to claim they added two PrE's this update.

You must be assuming I ever use the test server. I will simply correct your assumption that I in fact do NOT go on the test server.

Seeing that the info seems to have been on the test server forum.....I rest my case that it was privileges information and NOT common knowledge now was it? As far as I recall you have to go through steps to get on the test sever and its counter part the forums connected to it.....you are simply misguiding and not really addressing what I posted. As such I find no point in having anymore conversation with someone who waves it off as....it is know only to those who play the test sever and read the TEST server forums type mentality. Next time do not assume everyone is privileged enough to that info, when you know full well not all are.

Sorry to correct you but it never said incoming and I am looking at the DDOwiki NOW and it does NOT say *incoming*. Unless you are reading something totally diffrent it does not say incoming. What it does say is "◦Set Bonus: 30% bonus to all Negative Energy damage, if have Pale Master 3 Enhancement 60% bonus to all Negative Energy damage". Even if it is true that it is for neg spells cast on you, why the 140% loss? That is a massive % loss for that item would you not agree? 200 down to 60 is crappy thing to do. I stand by my idea that this is wrong to do to players who wasted thier time getting that belt/ring set.....to have the rug pulled from under them.

ShadowHand, reread what you were told.
Like SimVerg said, the previous set bonus was +200% damage FROM negative energy spells, not to ones you cast.
In other words: Before this patch, if you had that set equipped, you took three times the normal damage from negative energy spells cast on you by enemies. It had nothing to do with negative energy damage dealt by the player.

When the Pale Master enhancements were finalized and tested, they decided to make that set bonus into something useful by having it add to the damage of the Pale Master's necrotic touch by changing it to +negative energy damage dealt.

Your complaints have no merit when you don't check the facts beforehand.

As I got my info from wiki then am I inclined to believe they got it wrong? Lol so much for them be accurate. Oh by the way, would you not agree saying I merely rant is a bit rude for you to imply? Seeing that ranting is done by about 99% of the people on the forums......

first off, good luck tracking them down, as I can't neg rep yet, as well as a good majority of the people cannot.

Also, a wiki is user submitted feedback, but regardless of that, in your own original post you state that you read it last night and it was changed today. Perhaps whoever did the original article had it wrong? Perhaps you misread yesterday? Nah, couldn't be that last one, when you are so able to back up everything you've said thus far...

Your complaining is why the devs refuse to give us early previews of things. People like you don't underestand that incomplete previews may not turn out to be done exactly that way once it is play tested. They may need to change it. But you come here and whine about the change, which obviously they felt was needed. It's not a nerf because it never existed, they decided the original plan didn't work for whatever reason and they adjusted.

More neg reps from intellectual cowards, never seems to amaze me the outright abuse some people feel the need to do. Nasty emails seem rather unfortunate too, guess this is to be excepted if the questions you post are not to the likely to the social elite. Guess the moral of the post is ask questions.....get insulted if the questions was not to their liking. I guess I was wrong in thinking coming to the forums with real questions would get real answers and responses, seems more like some feeding hole for the deprived to launch into anyone smelling like food.
