Hey,
I made another thread recently concerning my plans to make a barbarian halfling (just for the lols) and was looking for a high damage output that could compete with my mates fighters/ barbs, etc of other races with only 28 points and if people felt skilled enough that would contend with a 32 point build - though using as few as possible or no tomes - there expensive for me at moment.
The orrigional concept was being able to sneak up on unsuspecting enemy - in a halfling way (mabye a touch of rogue get some sneak attack damage who knows), jumping out, clicking rage on and destroying everything with an intense grin on my face... but then it came to me.. fighters have more feats and I do prefer feats and abillities that dont need to be clicked on ... if its there all the time I cant be surprised or run out at the wrong time..
So can anyone think up a ultimate halfling bot that could with 32 points make and awesome damage based halfling that can jump out and destroy everything, be it dual weild, two handed or whatever.. as long as its not too squishy and is extremely good at killing I am happy :P

With Power Surge and Haste boost, fighters have nearly as many clickies, and need to clickie them more frequently.
Fighter 12 / Ranger 6 / Rogue 2 would suit your needs well.

strait up, out of the box awnser here, your not going to get max dps ever as a hafling. -2 STR means falling behinde 1 point of damage on ALL SITUATIONS, even when SA and guile purposes.
Technically, speakin.

Technically "speakin", a halfling can quite easily be a max DPS character. It won't ever be the best portal beater, but here are a few examples for you:
- Halflings have an equivalent to-hit in any situation, owing to their size bonus.
- Halflings get +4 flanking to-hit over any other race (+4 cunning, + 1 size bonus, -1 str mod)
- On 50% fort mobs (most raid bosses), halflings effectively get +4 damage per swing. Call that +3 owing to the 1pt less strength, only other way to get that damage is with Warforged Power Attack enhancements... Which cost you to-hit.
As a tank, no, a halfling won't do the absolute theoretical max damage. As a DPS melee without aggro, however, they will marginally outperform other races the majority of the time.

I do not mean the max dps ever.. though that would be sweet.. just max for a halfling.. anything more specific on the how to build front. Easiest way of thinking it is consider me a noob lol , like what sort of feats and such would you suggest, weapon type being dual weild or two hander or single or what and things like that.. sorry not great at getting these to roll right so being specific :P

Dual wield, 12 levels of fighter for Kensai II prestige (power surge), Tempest I prestige (10% attack speed) and 2 rogue for full rogue skills.
15STR / 16DEX (+1 tome for Greater TWF, they're cheap) / 14 CON / 14 INT / 9 WIS / 8 CHA
14 int is to keep two skills maxx'ed at every fighter level (search and disable device would be the better choices)
Other skills: UMD, Open Lock (very important), Spot, Balance (less important), Jump, Tumble (least important)
Take rogue at first level for the extra skill points.
Feats:
TWF / ITWF (free from ranger levels)
GTWF
Oversized TWF
Proficiency: Khopesh
Toughness
Dodge - Mobility - Spring Attack (all needed for Tempest)
Imp. crit slashing
Wep focus slashing (greater focus / specialization / greater specialization where possible)
Lightning Reflexes if there's space for it, I'm not sure if there would be.

Just cuz you say it doesnt make it so. Three Halfling builds top this particular list.

Yeah and they have done a great job and I can see what they were aiming for .... but they use a heck of a lot of tomes!
Too many for me too replicate anyway.. at best I could mabye grab a couple of +1s on a really good day but that is a really good day..
I am happy to multiclass tho in fact it seems like an awesome idea..
Rogue - sneak attack damage
Ranger - favoured enemies, dual weapons
Fighter - Weapon specialisation...
etc
Just preferably no classes I would need to buy like monk, etc...
