*** Level 20 !!!! ***

I just had to post something because this is my First ever level 20 toon.

My Paladin Ilyushinovik has finally reached the Capstone as a 28pt Human Paladin.

For a while I was thinking that he may never get to 20 because of my choosing a premade path and making some bad feat exchanges. But after some good advice, a lot of plat and TP I was able to salvage him as a decent DPS THF.

I am not sure what I will do with him once I get enough Favor to unlock 32pt builds. In the mean time, I plan on using the extra DPS from my capstone to pummel Evil in the shroud and other raids ( once I get flagged ) and finish off my GS goggles tier 3 conc op. ( sooo many lgs needed, but I am almost half way there on collecting them with only 5 shroud completions.

Just under 3.5 hours left on my shroud timer and I can test out my new level trying for more ingredients!

After taking Ily this far, I am now eager to get my sorc higher in levels. Currently lvl 10.

I am loving DDO today! WOOT!

Way to hang in there, and on a 28 pointer no less. As you play more and get better you will eventually want to reincarnate, but at this point your shroud runs are still worth the effort.

I think your doing it the right way by earning your 32 pointer and playing through level 20. It will only make you that much better a player.

28 points on a premade template path no less. Kudos indeed! Actually, I've been playing this game since near launch with a few large breaks and restarts in there... and I've never capped a character. My barb is on the way though and I think he might do it. I can identify with that feeling of thinking you just wouldn't get there.

Ummm no. We on khyber have brains for the most part. Sure we don't always use them, but more on that later. Besides, everyone wants to be like us Khyberians. I'd more compare us to Washington DC. We love to grandstand, we have n odd religious Icon (moe of a Virginia nod, but it's close enough), we never do anything wrong (and we'd never admit it even if we did), and we try to lead like all great Americans do (that would be shouting louder than the other guy). Plus, we are always causing more problems than we are trying to fix. See, DC to the very core :D

Wow, I didn't think that my post would incite server wars! :-)

I know some people are like BFD. Well to me it is! I've wanted to re-roll him at least 2-4 times per rest shrine. In the trek from lvl 1 to 20, I have gone from a solo everything no matter how long it took or how many deaths, to at least joining PUGs, meeting all different kinds of players and personalities. I am glad I stuck it out, while I may not be the optimum build, I have at least salvaged it and can lay down the punishment ( at least to demons, devils and undead )

I remember my first week or 2 playing wondering why I was getting pummeled so badly. I was decked out with 2 rings of protection +1, and several other items that had protection +1, not knowing that they didn't stack until I finally saw the tip on a loading screen and said " DOH "

While I just started when F2P was released, I had followed the game since it was first released. But for me 15$ is too much to pay per month, especially back when cap was under 12th lvl. Just about every time I play I see or learn something new. I actually set up an LFM for ADQ and did not get lost going to the pre-raid quest!

To the Khyberites - I think I just might delete my toon from that server and move to a less "I am the bestest of the best" types and farm TP somewheres else! :-)

well, I started yesterday 274 favor away from 1750. by just running Catacombs and Tangleroot with a friend on Elite I am now a LOT closer. I still have not run any quests in Amrath, necro 2-4, dreaming dark, and there are several house quests that I have not run yet. GH I have done 4 quests with only 1 done at elite.

As for TR, hmmm I am not sure yet as to what I would want to do class or race wise. I might just GR into a 32pt build after banking the +2 tome from 1750 favor. ( have a +2 cha tome I got on my 4th shroud completion in bank ) and run epic content and raids. I think that the past life feat for Pally's is not really that special as far as I know right now. I will most likely TR my sorc as soon as she hits 20. But I will have to get higher lvl and see how I like casters at endgame first.

Oh yeah... did I mention that I am not VIP? :-) I wish that they gave premium players 6 toon slots instead of only 4. maybe sometime soon I can pay for a few months VIP and play with more varied builds. As it is I may have to start power leveling alts just to obtain extra bank tabs/backpack space for them to store stuff.

I definately will wait a bit to TR if I do with Ily... I still want to experience all the raids and possibly pull something good! ( so far my best raid loot was the ring of the earth, but I didn't loot it, I just rolled the highest :-P )

OP: Congrats! The first time is always a bear. For the time being you should probably focus on stuff like acquiring gear, tomes and favor.

For those last 270ish favor points I would suggest firing up your adventure compendium, hitting the quests tab, sorting by level and work your way down the list.

Around February 3rd you will gain the option of doing a greater reincarnation which will bring your paladin up to a 32 point build without having to gain back all that XP. (You will need to have 32point builds unlocked however!) Doing a True Reincarnation without a solid goal (Completionist, desiring a specific past life feat, etc.) or a solid build plan will only drive you nuts.
