Lvling up

I have a pally it level 1 rank 8...ppl keep saying it 5 ranks per level? are they just wrong or something...lol do i need to spend with a pally trainer to get to the next level or something? lol i been on lvl 1 for a while

If you have been watching the messages on screen it told you to see a trainer a couple of times. After each rank you can see a trainer to spend your action points (although those can be saved up) and when you hit level (5 ranks, your xp bar turns blue), you can see your trainer to level up. Once you have enough xp for 2 levels less 1xp, your xp is actually capped and you will earn no more until you get around to levelling.

That has nothing to do with levelling. If you do not see a trainer before you get to the end of your 5th rank of the next level up (so I beleive Rank 10 in your case, which would be the last rank of Level 2), then you will simply stop gaining XP. That won't affect favour gains (from which you will earn Turbine Points with which you can buy Warforged) but if you don't level you won't progress and be able to handle the L3 content so as to do the quests to gain favour.

When you hit level 4, if this happens before Update 3, then you won't be able to get to L5 at all unless you get a Levelling Sigil, which may drop from any quest, or can be purchased in the store. You will still earn XP upto the end of the 5th rank of L5, even though you'll still effectively be L4. Beyond this, your questing is in vain except for favour.



If you're at Rank 9 now, go and see your trainer and level. There are sometimes good reasons for not levelling until you max our your XP for your level (such as not taking XP penalties on lower level quests) but in your case by now you've probably done them all.

Go see your trainer and level. Really. It should have only positive impact on your ability to generate favour to get TP rewards to be able to save up and buy warforged. There is no reason for you to wait that I can think of.

*edit* if you get to level 4 after update 3 is released, then as things stand you won't need levelling sigils anymore. But you still want to level when you get to your XP cap for your current level (i.e. 4.99999 ranks into your next level), or before.
