I think with pvp in D&D it would only be fair to have something that negates spell crits and roll damage normally, since melee crits can be negated

Umm pvp isnt really an issue and the casters are usually killing people even without spell crits.

General answer: Time should not be invested in PvP in DDO. It's not a PvP game, it's a PvE game with a fun little area or arena where you can mess around with your friends during downtime.

answer: no.

Why? Classes in DDO are unbalanced. Casters rule the PvP at the higher levels. With a few odd players that may be better than the average caster.

PvP is a distance second in DDO.

So I guess there isn't.
Anyway, I think that would be a huge step towards balancing PvP without messing up gameplay.

It would do little do balance pvp most casters can kill others crit or no crit, at upper lvls with enhancments and all they can do over 400 pts in one shot without a crit.
