Some friends of mine and I are looking to either join or found a European guild. I know of a few European guilds, like Erebus and some French guilds. However, they don't seem appropriate for us.

I'm hoping to find us a guild where:
* the primary spoken language is English (though for some of us this is a second language)
* the membership is online in the ballpark of 7pm-12am CET (+1 hour GMT)
* the majority of players are 24+ (in mind if not body)
* people like to run quests socially without rushing
* raids are regularly *scheduled*
* there is some sort of out-of-game forum for organization
* both new and old players are welcome, so long as
* the old members aren't elitist snobs ;)
* the new members are willing and able to learn

As for myself, I'm a new player who recently made the switch from f2p to vip. I am 30, live in Germany, but come from Canada. I prefer playing casters. Currently I have a level 19 Sorcerer (Samud) and a 11 FvS/2 monk (Samfryn).

If anyone knows of an appropriate guild, could you please provide a link to their webpage and guild charter/rules.

Thanks for your time.

You could try us, I believe we meet most of your requirements and you would probably fit in. The core members of our guild come from and live in Europe (we're immigrants from the Devourer EU server). We only started here recently, not all of us have raid ready characters yet and there aren't enough of us to run guild-only raids at the moment, but we'll get there soon. We schedule guild runs and sometimes even stick to the schedules.

We have members who have played DDO for 3+ years as well as complete newbies and as far I'm concerned, we all get along nicely. There is one elitist snob in the guild, his name is Reckluse, but as long as you're on good terms with him (some flattering and positive remarks about halflings usually suffice), you should be able to put up with him.

Click the sig below to read guild blog, which also has a link to guild forum (not exactly blooming with activity, but is admin'd and observed).

EDIT: We have no rules but people who use serious exploits will most likely find themselves expelled. To decide what is or isn't a serious exploit is at the guild leader's discretion.

Hi There!

I believe the The Legends may be right up your alley. Check out the webpage: http://www.legendsguild.co.uk

Was actually going to suggest Legends as an alternative. If you're looking for a bigger guild, they'd be more suitable for you.

Thanks for the pointers. We are interested more in a larger guild, else we'd just start our own, so I'll give Legends a whirl. :)

well micorn, one of your members, perhaps he/she is new and does not speak or read english...but joined our hound run. Lots of new players. 15 to 18 level run.

After typing and telling everyone a million times...really quite a few times in voice and text..in caps...not to kill dogs....over and over while explaining raid......

This guy went right after the dogs and started killing them.

Awesome grief of the whole raid. WOuld not stop no matter what we said....

He was in your guild. Very annoying.

on a bit of a funny note, this monk took like 40 attacks to bring one dog down...

Oops?

We've only got 3 high level monks in the guild, all of them played by native speakers, so language couldn't have been the issue. PM me that monk's name please and I'll speak to them.

CLAW is not a Euro guild but we have people on 24/7 and might meet some of your requirements.

If interested can always check out our website and charter.
