Need a way to make an item "Unepic" again

Some time ago, I managed to make my Fire Storm Greaves epic. As a result, these greaves now have improved fire resistance, the item is now bound to one toon, and the item has a level requirement of 20 instead of 9 so that toon can not use the item after reincarnation until he reaches 20th level again.

Yes the item does have two slots now, however, I have managed to obtain only a few epic quest tokens. Since reincarnation came out there just hasn't been many pugs for epic stuff and to be trueful, I do not enjoy running epic desert quests where most of my spells don't work so I have really lost interest in the whole epic side of things. I finally decide to reincarnate the toon but I will no longer be able to use these boots even when I reach ninth level.

It seems to me that the epic/recanation thing are really at cross purposes on multiple levels.

For a future release I would like to see a way to make an Epic item "unepic" again for those of us with buyer remorse.

Wait a minute. You knew that you were making an item epic and knew of the raid tokens requirements for upgrade and now that the item is a lvl 20 item, you want them to implement a way to take it away? This is called social darwinism. Time to go farm/buy a second set it sounds like.

Yeah, I have to agree with Spicey .. I mean at some point during the Epic grinding you couldn't have stopped to think about what you were doing?

I just pulled my 3rd pair of greaves, I think you could another pair yourself.

Too bad your not happy with it, but i dont think the devs should spend any time , creating a mechanism to unepic something!

you knew they might not be good but you went to be the first anyway thanks for stepping up and making them but it would have been better without this whine post.

I'm a big fan of deconstruction, but I have to say you haven't made much of a case for deconstruction here. GS deconstruction and TOR scale deconstruction are both far more needed, especially in the light of TR and the numerous changes to GS items (transmuting to metaline, true rez clickies, earth ele clickies, etc)

I honestly don't know why they haven't made this a game feature already...

I mean, when I TR'd my alts, all their Stone of Change items became unbound, all my greensteel stuff reverted back to raw ingredients, my dragonscale stuff flew apart into separate scales again, and all my refuge crafting went back to runes!


So for them to have overlooked Epic items in all that dissolution and have them remain exactly as they were before TR'ing is totally unacceptable! I totally didn't see that coming, and it needs to change!
