How Come There Is No Auto-Attack ?

My finger gets sore from holding down the button constantly. I wish they'd add an autoattack so I can click once, then click to turn it off. Or is it in the options somewhere and I just don't see it ?

Auto attack is listed under your feats. You can drag the icon to your hotkey bar. There is also an auto attack button in a little circle by your health and spell point bar.

I believe it's under Feats in your character sheet. It is called auto-attack. You can drag it to your hotbar.
Plus, it's on you health bar. It's the little sword icon. You can click on that if you rather. I prefer putting the auto-attack key on the hotbar. Much bigger and accessible.

Two Auto attack buttons available. The Feat one is usually on your Hot Bar when you create a character. The 2nd one is located on your Life Bar. There's also a THIRD option... one I use more than the Auto Attack button.... Push and hol your Attack button. You will continue to attack without all the clicking. Let off the button and you stop attacking.

I find this better than the Auto Attack... which doesn't 'attack' a mob you have targeted if you're too far away. Also if you're using Auto attack and the Mob you're attacking dies... you stop Auto Attacking, even if there's another Mob next to you.

Lol thanks, I've been playing my barbarian to 10th holding down the attack button all this time.

keep in mind that holding down the button is usually better. If you're playing doorstop and mobs are coming towards you for example, you can get a few swings into your progression for a better chance to hit. Or as pointed out, if your main target dies you wont start swinging again until you tab to a new one that happens to be within range. I usually keep auto attack on so i have the option to let off the mouse, but still press and hold my attack button.

Yeah for some reason Attack doesnt come pre-loaded onto a new character's hotbar, iirc even when its a melee class. I wonder why they changed that.
