With the new level of dungeon scaling I believe we should come up with a new level of true Reincarnations. I mean not everyone can spend 20+ hours a week in game. Woudn't it be great if casual players can try it too without having to grind so much xp? I know you learn slower but that much slower? Regular cap is at 2 mil. 1st reincarnations you need 50 % more xp and for 2nd you need 100% more for reals??? I woudn't mind if it was 5 or 10 % even maybe 15 but 50% it's just way too much and out of reach for the casuals. Please think about it.

Why not an easy button to this as well :p? And if you don't like hitting the easy buttons you can aways pick the hard one and gring the whole xp :D, that way everyone can be happy ;)

Can't I just get a secret ML cap-to-twenty button? I'd definately TR my current characters and even make some more if I had this! :p

I dont see a problem with it, as long as they dont touch the current TR so us elitists have a challenge.

Or better yet, give us EPIC reincarnation!

Yes, for you all the mobs will have 999999999999 hp and immune to any damage but ranged and you will also need 15 mil xp to cap to 20 :p

What would be good is a variant of True Reincarnation without all the costs and mechanical benefits:
Take away the +2 build points, the Past Life Feat, and the XP penalty.

Just leave it as a method someone can use to play low-mid level quests with a character who isn't overpowered, such as if a new friend joins and you want to go help him out. This would also be an important way for players to adapt when the devs make unforseen changes to class abilities.

Naturally, this kind of Reincarnation would use a much cheaper Heart of Wood, as it doesn't provide you any persistent mechanical benefit you couldn't already have had.

So ... list of complaints over xp:

it's too easy to cap and there's nothing to do once we get there
it's too hard to cap requiring all that xp

Just keep complaining. I find the xp requirements to actually be a bit refreshing, in the old system, once you hit -4 from cap and started raiding, you would cap within a week without even thinking about it. Now, it's kind of cool, you keep gaining xp as you play end-game content, achieving both gear and xp gain.

Reincarnation xp doesn't seem out of whack to me, as long as you're not *racing* to cap. The other thing, though, is successful reincarnations tend to do a lot more of the 'odder' quests - from what I see. Which is another weird thing I see on the forums all the time:

there's not enough content
oh? all that content? I don't like playing any of that.

There is some great content out there that people rarely play, and it makes levelling not really that tedious at all.

Although, generally the complainers about the xp say:

It's too much xp!
I haven't actually tried it, it's too much xp!

(These are the same people that have said for years "Abbot? That raid is broken, I've never even tried it"

So stop complaining, and start playing, the system is fine.

So stop complaining, and start playing, the system is fine.No it's not fine casual players can't get invest as much time to the game. My idea was to have an easy button for people that don't like all that xp grind and for people like you that is just fine and so enjoyable can earn all of the xp required.

And btw trying to pass me that there are alot of quests out there you got the wrong person...... I aways run all the content usually get 1750 by level 11 or so...so yah epic fail :p

Yeah, people don't have the time to invest, so let them buy characters.

For stats, How about $.50 per point from 11-20, $1 per point from 21-30 and $3 per point from 31-40. I mean it isn't like it won't affect your play if they have super uber characters from the start.

Or, maybe have it so you can explore all the characters on MyDDO and find someone that has the build and the equipment you like... Buy a clone of the character and equipment for only $100 and save all that play time.

All this at the click of a big red button.... yum!

Fixed that for ya... :D

Pulling that lever over and over to have names broadcast over the server....
