Guild Name theft Re: Occam's Razor

This is to notify the players of Thelanis that a player who shall remain un-named has spoofed our guild name, and apparently has claimed to be one of our members. He is NOT.
Our guild name is "Occam's Razor" . Many of you are familiar with us as we have been around pretty much since game launch.
Please, if someone in your pug is behaving badly, please check that the guild name is correct before assuming it is one of our players. Thank you.

I see the OPs point. If anyone sees a guild name like the ones above, they would report the player unless they new it was in jest.

I was doing quests in the Orchard just the other day, and I think a guild leader from Occam's was in our party. Can't remember his name, possibly the one in the OP. /shrug Didn't think he was anything good or bad, just another player. But I do recall laughing at the spoofed guild name. Was kind of funny.

Simple solutions are usually the best so you can appreciate this one. Just have your guildies grief him and keep it clean. When he loses his cool and crosses the line, report the punk - you know, Cape Fear style. Use the rules.

The devs take guild name infractions fairly seriously.

I was in a pug once on a lowbie that I hadn't guilded yet. The leader was pretty bossy (can't remember his name so I will use mine to illustrate) and pretty much tried to micromanage the run.

So I created a new guild, called 'Hireling of Unionyes'. He was not impressed, especially when others in the party started to join. He must have reported me/us because I got contacted before the run was over and told that I was griefing and to cease and desist.
